Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Harris, of Ew
ing, became the bride of Law
rence Young, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Paul Young, of O’Neill, on Sat
urday afternoon, September 15,
at the home of Rev. V. R. Bell, of
O’Neill. Reverend Bell perform
ed the double-ring ceremony at
2 o’clock.
Attendants were Mr. and Mrs.
Stanley Merchant, of Elgin,
brother-in-law and sister of the
bride.
The bride wore a simple white
gown of dotted Swiss, trimmed
in lace and with a high neckline.
Her corsage was of red roses.
Mrs. Merchant’s dress was of na
vy blue with white accessories.
The bridegroom and his attend
ant wore dark business suits.
Following the ceremony, the
wedding party was served a
luncheon at the Neal cafe. A wed
ding cake decorated in pink and
white, topped with a miniature
bzride and bridegroom was used
as a centerpiece. This was made
by Mrs. Stanley Merchant.
After a short w'edding trip,
Mr. and Mrs. Young plan to make
their home at Hastings.

terian Ladies Aid met Wednes
day afternon, September 12, with
Mrs. Reed Bell. There were 13
members, 8 visitors and 2 children
present.
No lesson was presented. The

business meeting was conducted
by the president, Mrs. Charles
Coolidge, who also collected the
clothing brought by members to
send to Korea. Several business j
letters were read, one of which
urged members to attend the
synodical meeting which will be |
held at Scottsbluff on October 2,
3 and 4. Mrs. G. H. Grimes report- j
ed that the 12 chairs ordered by
the Aid have arrived and are
ready for use.
It was decided to meet with
Mrs. Harry Ressel, of O’Neill, for
an all-day meeting on September
27. This is on Thursday instead
of the usual Wednesday meeting,
at the hostess’ request. We closed
the meeting by repeating the
“Lord’s Prayer.” The hostess, Mrs.
Bell, served a lunch — By Mrs.
