Dorrance Crabb
Gets Army Release
Sgt. l/c Dorrance C. Crabb re
turned to O’Neill late Thursday
from Camp McCoy, Wise., where
lust week he was relieved from
active army duty.
Crabb, a World War II veteran,
was recalled to active duty in
October, 1950, as a reservist. At
the time of his departure he was
■ommander of Simonson post 93,
of the American Legion.
Hjk status now is tnat of an in
active reservist.

Tuesday evening but Miss Lohaus
and Mrs. McLeod will visit in

stationed at Ft. Riley, Kans.

far as Omaha.

home Sunday. Reverend Miller
and Mr. DeBacker are cousins.

Miss Kathleen Flood left Tues
day. After visiting for a few days
with Mr. and Mrs. Gene Wolfe,
I of Fremont, she will spend a
week at St. Marys, Kans.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fox have
received word from the Kansas
City palsy center, where their
daughter, Carol Ann, is a patient,
that the hospital suffered no
flood damage in the recent Kan
sas City emergency, their only
inconvenience being the lack of
water for drinking and cleaning
purposes.
Mrs. Lyle Wright and daugh
ter, Arlis, and Mrs. Raymond
Shoemaker and son, Gayle, all of
Chambers, visited Thursday, July
19, at the E. E. Gaskill home.
Miss Cheryl Lue Donlin and
Mrs. Hans Siefken and son visit
ed in Norfolk over the weekend.

land, S. D., and his son, Pvt. My
ron Collmer, of Texas, were in
Atkinson Monday visiting at the
homes of Mr. and Mrs. John Wed

and Mrs. Collmer. Mrs. Myron
Collmer is the former Katie Wed

of her niece, Mrs. Ralph Beck,
and family Monday. They also

evening, July 18. They purchas

“Grandma” Stevens, who is quite
