Daily vacation Bible school will be held in the Wesleyan Methodist church beginning on Monday, June 18, at 9 a.m. This is especially for children of grade school age. Miss Elzene Thomas Becomes Bride of Mr. Roy Lundgren Miss Elzene Thomas, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Thomas, and Roy Lundgren, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Lundgren, were married in a 4 o’clock cere mony Saturday afternoon, June 9, at First Presbyterian church, of O’Neill. Rev. Ralph Gerber read the double - ring ceremony. The church was decorated with twin baskets of garden flowers and 2 seven-branched candelabra.' The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attended by her sister, Miss Betty Thomas. Robert Thomas, brother of the bride, was bestman. Bennett Her iford and William Artus served as ushers. The bride’s gown was of white satin, made with a rounded neck ine and lace yoke, fitted bodice, and long sleeves which came to points over her hands. The full skirt formed a train in the back, and her illusion veil fell from a lace Juliet cap. She wore a strand of pearls, a gift of the bride groom, and carried a bouquet of white gladioli and stephanotis. The maid-of-honor wore a nile green taffeta gown with net ov erskirt and matching long mitts. She carried yellow daisies and wore a tiara of them in her hair. Both mothers wore navy dress es with matching accessories and corsages of red roses. Preceding the service, Mrs. Ralph Gerber played an organ re cital of nuptial music. Miss Lois Harder sang “I Love You,” by Grieg, and “Because.” The tradi tional marches from Lohengrin and “Midsummer Night’s Dream" were used. After the ceremony, a recep tion was held in the church par lors for the guests. Mrs. James Rooney was in charge with Mrs. Rudolph Johnson, Mrs. Henry Martin, Mrs. Orville Peterson, Mrs. C. C. Wrede, Mrs. C. M. Pierson, Mrs. Bennett Sanders, Mrs. Lawrence Dobrovolny, Mrs. Lee Blake, Mrs. Alfred Drayton, Mrs. Elmer DeVall, Mrs C. E. Yantzi and Miss Twila C. Hicks assisting. Mrs. Estel Thomas was in charge of the guest book. Both the bride and the bride groom are graduates of the O’ Neill high school. The bride also ai tended Wayne State Teachers college and has taught in Holt county schools. Mr. Lundgren attended Glen dale (Calif.) junior college and the University of Nebraska. He is now a member of the Midwest Motor Co., Ltd., firm here. For traveling the bride chose a navy blue 2 - piece suit with matching accessories and a cor sage of baby rose buds. After Dr. Edw. J. (“Arch”) Wyant, of Ok lahoma City, Okla., formerly of O’Neill, passed away in his sleep on Tuesday, June 5. Funeral ser vices were Friday, June 3. Mrs. A. R. Wyant, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Don Asher, of Valentine, attended the funeral services. They returned to O’ Neill Monday evening. Spend Weekend Here— Mr. and Mrs. Edward O’Don nell and Mrs. P. J.
