They attended the first mass of
Rev. Ernest Engler, who is a cou
sin of Mrs. Kunz and Mr. Petting
er, on Tuesday, June 5. They also
visited relatives at Dversville
and Dubuque, la., and attended
the funeral of an aunt at Sigour
ny. Ia„ on Thursday.
They returned to Stuart that
evening where the Pettingers
visited with her mtoher, Mrs. Es
tella Bachman, and other rela
tives. They left for their home
Sunday evening, June 10.

that all sportsmen in the O’Neill
region are urged to be present

afternoon. Graham allowed 3

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Edith Calella Eliz
azeth Lech is a mental incompe
tent, and a legal resident of Holt
County, Nebraska, but since No
vember 12, 1934, has been an in
mate of the State Hospital at
Norfolk, Nebraska; and
WHEREAS, on the 22d day of
December, 1938, Frances Searles,
a sister of the said Edith Calella
Elizabeth Lech, as duly and le
gally appointed her Guardian by
the County Court of Holt Coun
ty, Nebraska, which Court has
jurisdiction in such proceedings
and over said incompetent; and
WHEREAS .upon the death of
Frances Searles, Guardian of said
incompetent, Lowell A. Johnson,
a brother of said Edith Calella
Elizabeth Lech, was duly and le
gally appointed her successor
Guardian by the County Court of
Holt County Nebraska; and
' WHEREAS, upon the death of
lella Elizabeth Lech, who is also
known as Calella Lech, is the
owner of an undivided one-sev
enth right, title, interest and
ownership in and to the follow
ing described real estate, situated
in Holt County, Nebraska, to
wit:—
All of Section Twenty-nine, ex
cept the South Half of the
Southwest Quarter, and the
Southeast Quarter of Section
Twenty, all in Township Twen
ty-nine, North Range Thirteen,
West of the 6th P. M., in Holt
County, Nebraska; and
WHEREAS, her said Guardian,
Lowell A. Johnson, has com
menced an action in the District
Court of Holt County Nebraska,
to sell the above described inter
est in real estate for the purpose
of maintaining said incompetent
and her family, and paying the
debts of said incompetent with
charges of managing her said es
tate, as set forth in said petition;
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to law
j and particularly Section 38-602 of
I the Revised Statutes of Nebraska

Winnie Barger entered a com
plaint on the valuation placed
on Lot 3, Block 31, Original towiy
of O’Neill. She states it is too
high in comparison with other
houses of the same type.
James Kubart asked to have
the valuation on Lot 1 Neeley’s
Addition to Atkinson decreased
from $1415.00 to $1000.00.
G. E. Moor complained that
there is too great a variation
in the value placed on East %
and West xk of 21-27 and ask
ed the Board to equalize it.
