At Weekend Party—
Bill Froelich, jr., son of Mr.
and Mrs. William J. Froelich, sr.,
will celebrate his birthday anni
versary at a weekend party for
24 guests from Duchesne college
and Creighton university.
The young people will leave
Omaha Friday and have a cat
fish dinner at Pringer’s in Nor
folk enroute to O’Neill. The tra
ditional birthday cake, baked by
Mrs. Edward Campbell, and ice
cream will be served that eve
ning at the Froelich home.
1 Saturday morning, Mr. and
Mrs. Campbell will honor the
group at breakfast at the M&M.
After a golf game at the Country
club, they will go to the Town
House for smorgasbord. In the
evening, they will have a picnic
supper on the lawn of the Froe
lich home.
Sunday Mr. and Mrs. H. J.
Birmingham will be hosts at
breakfast at the M&M. They will
return to Omaha soon afterward
and plan a picnic lunch on the
way back.
The guests will include the

Several O’Neillites attended a
party at Bristow Sunday, May 6,
in honor of the birthday anniver
sary of Mrs. Clara Van Hove. The
party was held at the home of

formed by Rev. V. R. Bell.
Miss Johnson was given in |
marriage by her uncle, Vance
Johnson, of Emerson. Her strap- |
less balerina gown was of white
lace and had a matching, fitted |
jacket. The jacket buttoned down
the front with tiny lace-covered |
buttons. The bride’s veil was of ’
white net. j
Miss Lena Karcher, of Sioux '
City, was bridesmaid. She wore t
an off - the - shoulder ballerina ‘
gown of lavender faille and lav- .
ender slippers. Her headpiece !
was of lavender net wound with
pearls and she carried a purple
basket of lavender carnations.
Candlelighters were Miss Con
nie Johnson, sister of the bride,
and Miss Betty Jane Johnson,
cousin of the bride. Another sis
ter, Miss Anne Johnson, was

and Mrs. Sturgeon will make

Altar Society
Holds Election—
Elections were held at the
monthly meeting of the Altar so
ciety of St. Patrick’s Catholic
church Thursday, May 3. The
names of the newly-elected guild
chairmen will be announced next
week.
The members of St. Ann s
guild, Mrs. Ira Moss, chairman,
were hostesses at the meeting.
Kindergarten Children
Present Program—
Thirty - three nursery rhyme
characters came to life Wednes
day evening, May 9, when the
kindergarten pupils of the O’Neill
public school presented their
spring program.
The performance was under
the direction of Mrs. Harry Peter
sen.
