REIMER County Judge (SEAL) 49-51C Eastern Star Lodge Mourns 2 Deaths EWING — On Tuesday eve ning, April 10, at a stated meet ing of the Jephthah Chapter 85, Order of the Eastern Star, the chapter was draped in memory of Mrs. Letha Dierks, who serv ed as worthy matron for 1927 and Mrs. Sadye Brion Jones who was worthy jnatron for 1938. Both were members of the Past Matron’s club and Star Kensing ton. Mrs. Grave Briggs, who has been an Eastern Star member for almost 53 years, was pre sented with a year pin, the gift of the grand chapter of Nebras ka. She was initated into Bernice chapter 120, of Butte, and affili ated with Jephthah chapter more than 50 years ago. She served as worthy matron for 1922 and is also a member of the Past Ma , trons’ club and Star Kensington. Mrs. Inez H. Burch, member of Lakota Chapter 38, Midwest, Wyo., Mrs. May Wood, of Niobr ara Chapter 26, and Miss Donna Rudisil, of Palisade chapter, Pal isade, were visitors. Angel food cake, ice cream and coffee were served by the refreshment committee. Sergeant Lyons also stated that he can now' handle a normal flow of air force applications and that anyone interested could be sent immediately or in the very near future. However, he could not predict how long this would last because the state cannot exceed a certain quota.
