Mrs. George Fongratz visiiea her daughter, Mrs. Art Givens, and family Tuesday, April 3, and Wednesday evening and Thurs day. She visited Mrs. Harold Giv ens and family. Thursday, Mrs. Harold Givens took her to her home near Emmet. Mr. and Mrs. John Shaaf and (Mr. and Mrs. Ray Timmerman and their families were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs, Charles Deermer and children. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kaup, jr., were O’Neill visitors Friday, Ap ril 6. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kaup (spent Thursday evening, April 5, at the Don Wallinger home. Mr .and Mrs. Joy Greenfield were Friday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charley Dorsey. Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Samba sile and Patty visited Saturday at the Walter Kaup home at Om aha. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Foxsworthy arrived Sunday at the home of her parents, Mr, and Mrs. Roy Rhodes, where they will assist with the farm work. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kaup and family visited at the Ferd Kaup home Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Clement Murphy and boys were Sunday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Kramer and children. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Greenfield were guests at a turkey dinner Sunday in the Ralph Shald home. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. George Hitchcock and family, Jasper Hitchcock and Mrs. i Wright Hitchcock. Mrs. George Shald and Mrs. Louis Shald were hostesses at a shower in honor of Lorrauie Ul rich Friday afternon, April 6, at the Louis Shald home. Games were played after which Miss Ul rick opened many gifts. Prizes were won by Mrs. Gene Hoff man, Mrs. Francis Steinhauser, Mrs, Dwaine Ulrich and Mrs. Al ton Hoffman. A lunch of ice cream and cake was served. Charley Ostler spent Sunday at the home of his sister, Mrs. Jane Cobb. He was born August 18, 1882, near Agee, a son of Janies II. and Mary McAllister, a pioneer Holt county couple. He served a peacetime enlist ment in the army and lived for a time at Denison, la., before mov ing to Boise in 1928. His most re cent occupation was a trucker. Survivors include: Widow — Daisy; daughters — Mrs. Jennie Bellomy, of Bristol, Colo.; Mrs. Alma Gordon, of Pueblo, Colo.; Mrs. Elsie Pottinger, of Boise; Mrs. Daisy Brooks, of Spring field, Mo.; and Mrs. Ruth Mc Mullen, of Meridian, la.; son — David M. McAllister, of Amarillo, Vex.; stepsons—Archie Davis, of Denison, and Arthur P. Davis, of Burlington, la.; stepdaughter — Mrs. Helen Henry, of Spring field, Mo.; sisters— Mrs. Emma Doche, of Omaha; Mrs. Jennie Eppenbach, of O’Neill; Mrs. J. L. (Ellen) North, of Graybiel, Wyo.; Mrs. Ada Fleener, of Los Ange les, Calif.; Mrs. Amanda Calkins, of Cour D’Alene, Ida.; Mrs. Blanche Heiden, of Rockford, 111.; and Mrs. Bell Stenkuehler, of Harlan, la.; brothers—Jesse M. The late Mr. McAllister was the first death among the chil dren of James H. and Mary Mc Allister. He is remembered by many Holt countyans.
