Clifford R. Opper Now Full Colonel INMAN — Mr. and Mrs. Ira Watson have received word that their son-in-law, Clifford R. Op per, who is statoined at Keesler air force base at Biloxi, Miss., and is a member of General Powell’s staff, has been recently promoted to a full colonel. Colonel Opper has been in the service 13 years. He is married, his wife being the former Miss Patricia Ann Watson, and they have one daughter, Susan Louise. The Women’s Society of RLDS church held a regular meeting at the home of Mrs. Marjual Ferris Wednesday, January 31, with eight members and three visitors present. Dentha Smith, who attends college in Norfolk, spent the weekend visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Smith. Arbutus Rebekah lodge, of In man, met in special session Wed nesday evening, January 31, at the IOOF hall for initiation. Members of Eden Rebekah lodge 41, of O’Neill, were guests, about 20 coming to Inman, and the de gree of Rebekah was conferred by the Arbutus Rebekah lodge 317. Mr. Moses, an employee of the company, and Carl Weich man were thawing out some fro zen water pipes with a blow torch. Mr. Moses accidently stepped between the joints and fell to the cement floor. He was taken to the Stuart hospital. Attendants said he re ceived a broken collar bone and bruises and is suffering from shock. Leo Kalkowski was high point man for the Eagles with 11 and Bob Maly next with 9. Elmer Black bird was high point man for the town team with 20 points and Emil Koval with 8.
