M/Sgt. Roy D. Johnson, em
ployed at Lohaus Motor company
before his recall into the army,

with his wife and two children.
He will report February 12 at
Ft. Lewis, Wash., and then ex

command.

tained Wednesday evening, Jan
uary 24, at the home of Mrs.
Harry Sullivan. Mrs. Leo Moore
was a guest. Prizes were won by:

Mrs. F. A. O’Donnell. A lunch

activities committee at Duchesne
college in Omaha. The commit
tee has completed plans for the
annual Mardi Gras to be held

order of the Eastern Star met
Friday afternoon at the home of

members were present. The hos
tesses served refreshments.

Merton Dierks came home
Thursday, January 25, from the
University of Nebraska to spend
the weekend with his parents,

CHARLES L. JONES,
SCHUYLER, DIES
Charles L. Jones, 75, a former
O’Noillite who spent many years
in Colfax county and served for
a time in the state legislature, is
d^rd.
He succumbed on Wednesday,
January 17, in a Columbus hos
pital. The late Mr. Jones, who
lived at Schuyler, has been in
failing health for several years
and bedfast for four months.
Funeral rites were conducted
Saturday afternoon, January 20,
at Schuyler, at the Presbyterian
church.
Charles L. Jones was the son
of George W. and Emma Bonnie
Jones. He was born in Eastman,
Wise, April 4, 1875.
