Mrs. Roy Gannon entertained
the YM club at her country home
on Tuesday, December 12. Din
ner was served at noon, and in
the afternoon the guests enjoy
ed a Christmas party with er
chiange of gifts.

entertained the LL club at her
home. All members were pre
sent. This group also enjoved a
Christmas party with gift ex
change. Mrs. Crosse” served re
freshments in late afternoon.
Arbutus Rebekah lodge met
I in regular session Wednesday
evening at the IOOF hall. Mrs.
Charles Luben. noble grand, was
in charge. A Christmas gift of a
large white damask table cloth
was sent to the IOOF home at
York. Following the regular bus
iness session the members enjoy
ed the singing of Christmas car
ols, games and gift exchange.
There were 36 present.
Mrs. Earl Watson went to
Wayne Sunday morning to hear
the presentation of Handel’s
“Messiah,” which was given by
the chorus of the Wayne State
Teachers college at the city audi
torium at 8 o’clock, sponsored by
the Wayne Kiwanis club. Her
daughter. Miss Lu Ella, is a jun- j
ior at Wayne State this year and I
also a member of the chorus.

Mattson drove to Elgin Sunday !
and called at the George Ponton
home. I
Alfred Walters, of Chambers, i
who has been helping with the
care of Gus Seger the past week,
spent the weekend at home. Mr. |
Seger has been bedfast for some
time.
