First off, that Ross family cal
led Alfred’s father by long dis
tance to gieet him for his birth
day anniversary, November 13,
but somehow connections were
bad. So Charley Ross, the father,
! couldn’t hear his greetings. This
' was too bad as we all would have
! liked so well to have heard the
i dear voices.
Mrs. Alfred Ross had tucked a
| litle note in her last letter for me,
warning me so I wouldn t be ner
vous at long distance calling, and
feel something was not well.
We miss them so much, but it
seems we can’t expect all our
children to stay close to us.
