3 infants Receive Girts from Ciub CELIA — Celia Homemakers met with Mrs. Frank Kilmurry Tuesday, November 21, with 15 members present. Mrs. Omer Poynts was a guest. The lesson. “Cooking Less Ten der Cuts of Meat”, was given by Mrs. Connie Friekel. Plans were made for the Christmas party to be held at the home of Mrs. Vic tor Friekel Tuesday, December 19. A gift was presented to each of three new babies in the club. Tliey are: Nancy Marie Beck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Beryl Beck; Glen Edward Friekel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Friekel; and Verdon LeRoy Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Smith. Mrs. Mc Kathnie came Wednesday eve ning, November 22, and returned to Atkinson Saturday evening, November 25. Mr. and Mrs. Emil Colfack and son, Dennis, were O’Neill visitors Wednesday, November 22. Mr. and Mrs. Emil Colfack and family were Thanksgiving dinner guests at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Arp, in Butte and supper guests the same d&y of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nels Colfack, in Atkin son. Mr. and Mrs. Emil Colfack vis ited the Roy Margritz family on Saturday evenipg, November 25. The Margritz family lives on the John Dinus farm 20 miles north of Atkinson and are moving Fri day, December 1, to the Walter Sire farm south of Butte. They will be missed as they are very active in 4-H work and commu nity activities. Rev. and Mrs. Asa Woods spent Thanksgiving day at the Mark Hendricks home. Reverend and Mrs. Melton, of Miltonvale, Kans., visited the Mark Hendricks family Friday afternoon, November 24. - Mr. and Mrs. J. V. Johnson, of O’Neill, and Albert Johnson and son, John, of Lyons, were supper guests at the Stanley Johnson hohtb Saturday evening, Novem ber 25 -Albert Johnson, of Lyons, and Rick Krause, of Omaha, went to Montana the past week and bought and shipped three car loads of cattle to the Albert Johnson ranch, north of Atkin son. One car arrived Friday, two cars Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. George Beck were Sunday, November 19, din ner guests at the Duane Beck home. Wednesday, November 22, Connie Friekel, jr., got a set of batteries for his light plant in the LeRoy Hoffman neighbor- , hood. He also visited his brother- | in-law, Paul Nelson, and fam ily, north of O’NeilL Mr. and Mrs. Gene Livingston spent Thanksgiving holiday with his aunt, Miss Leona Liv ingston, in Des Moines, la. They returned home Saturday night, November 25. Mrs. Leonard Chaffin and chil dren visited the Mark Hendricks home Saturday afternoon, No vember 25. Mis Rita Troshynski, of Oma ha, visited her sister, Mrs. Frank Kilmurry, and family from Mon day afternoon, November 20, to Tuesday evening, November 21. Leon Hendricks and Fred Cearns came to Chambers Wed nesday evening, November 22, with Dale Hombeck, of Cham bers. They are from Miltonvale, Kans., where the boys are at tending school. They spent Thanksgiving with the home folks. They were met at Cham bers by Mark Hendripks and re turned to Chambers Sunday af ternoon, November 26, so they could go back to school with Dale Hornbeck. Donnie and Ronnie Friekel vis ited their cousin, Leon Hend ricks, Saturday afternoon, No vember 25. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Frickel and family and Donnie, Ronnie and Caroline Frickel, children of Connie Frickel, jr., were Sunday, November 26, dinner guests at the Franklin Hickman home. Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Scott and daughter, Dorothy, spent Thanksgiving day with their daughter, Mrs. Charles Dobias, and family . Buddy Focken helped Alex Forsythe with his work Satur day, November 25. Connie Frickel cabled in hay for O. A. Hammerberg Monday, November 27. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kilmurry and family were Sunday evening visitors at the D. F. Scott home. Mr. and Mrs. Emil Colfack and family attended the picture show, “Pa and Ma Kettle,” at Butte Sunday evening, Novem ber 26. Mrs. Marvin Focken and daughter, Marjorie, also her niece, Karen Focken, visited Mrs. Bill Ziska Tuesday afternoon, November 21. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bates and children, of Long Pine, visit ed Mr. and Mrs. Albert Klingler here Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Streeter spent Thanksgiving in Lincoln visiting Mrs. Streeter’s sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Matthews. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wil liams, of Sheridan, Wyo., who were visiting in Lincoln, accomp anied them home. The Williams will spend a few days visiting the Mr. and Mrs. Clyde and Dean Streeters.
