The respirator can be operated manually or by a 12-volt battery or 110-volt AC current and is recommended by the Children’s memorial hospital in Omaha and the Omaha fire department res cue squad. Since the cost of the respirator was more than the iron lung fund collected in a drive extend ing over several years, the fire department sponsored a benefit show on Thursday night, Novem ber 2, at the city auditorium to raise funds. The talent was furnished by the ladies of Midway club, who pre sented “Don’t Tell a Soul” and their husbands, who presented “Womanless Wedding.” The group presented the show on October 20 in Newport to raise money for the school and club. Leslie Sweet, who teaches in district 136, was the director. A dance followed the perform ance. Flies to Nebraska to Funeral Rite PAGE—Mrs. W. I.
