There were about a thousand calves run through the ring. The 6teer calves hit a top of $35.25 with the bulk of themVlling from $33.00 to $34.00. Heifer calves ranged from $30.00 to $31.00. Yearling steers were a little weaker than the week before at the O’Neill market, the better kind selling from $28.00 to $28.50; the plainer kinds, $25.00 to $27.00. Yearling heifers were in de mand from 24Vfec to 26c; canners, 13c to 15c, cutters 15c to 17*4. Fat cows brought $17.50 to $19.00 and bulls $20 00 to $21.50. During the hog sale, which was held during the forenoon as is customary during this time of the year, the 190 to 240 pound butch ers hit a top of $19.60; heavier butchers, 240 to 300 pounds, $18.50 to $19.25. Three hundred pound sows sold for $18.75. Heavier sows, $17.50 to $18.50. FOR SALE: 50-purebred Hamp shire boars. Big litter top breeding. Large, heavy bone, good hams, feet and head.
