Archbishop Gerald T. Bergan will open the convention with a mass at 9 a. m. at St. Mary’s Mag dalene’s church. He will speak at a 1 p. m. luncheon the first day at the Fontenelle. Rt. Rev. Luigi Litutti, execu tive director of the national Catholic rural life conference, will speak at an 8 p. m. meeting Monday, October 23, in the Duchesne college auditorium. Monsignor Ligutli has been prominent in the Christian Rur al Overseas Program. This or qanization, known as CROP, j has interdenominational sup- , port, and was designed to bring \ relief to the world's starving millions. The group has been active in Nebraska. The Monsignor, who has his headquarters in Des Moines, la., is widely traveled both here and abroad, his frequent speak ing engagements having taken j him to all parts of the United ' States. Rev. John Juricek, the archdi ocesan moderator, will open the Tuesday sessions with mass at 9 a. m. Rev. Roman Ulrich, the archdi ocesan superintendent of schools will be on the Tuesday program with a talk on the “Place of Catholic Schools in Our World Today.” Sister Mary Bernita, RSM, head of the department of dramatics and speech at the College of St. Mary’s. Omaha, will speak on the Block Rosary at 11 a- m. in the ballroom at the Fontenelle. Sister Mary Bernita is a popular speak er in Omaha circles. Mrs. Arthur Mullen, of Oma ha, will preside and Rev. R. J. Auer, of Madison, will speak at a 1 o'clock luncheon on Tues day. The closing message fry the newly-elected president will follow the luncheon. Mrs. Edwin Cassen, Omaha archdiocesan president, will pre side at all general sessions. Reservations for the luncheon are to be made by Friday, ctober 20, with Mrs. L. C. This promises to be a big day in Lynch high school history, be cause it is also homecoming and color day. A record crowd is expected at the ceremonies at which the king and queen of homecoming will be crowned. Pupils at Lynch high are confident that with another two weeks of practice, and an other game under their belts, the Eagles will show a good game to those who were disappointed at Butte recently, and also to those who were disappoined at St. Mary’s last year.
