James Boies returned home on Friday from the Veterans* hos pital in Sioux Falls, S. D., where he had been under treat ment for ulcers for several weeks. His condition is “much “improved.” ... Ebben Grafft, who has been confined to his home suffering from a heart ailment, is “slowly improving,” He was taken ill while visiting relatives at Fullerton several days ago. ATKINSON—Jim O’Donnell is a surgical patient at Stuart Community hospital. . . Patty Scott entered Our Lady of Lourdes hospital in, Norfolk on Thursday, September 21, for a medical checkup. It was thought her injuries received in a car accident a few weeks ago were only minor. . . Baby David Lee, son of the F. D. Lees, is “get ing along nicely” at St. Jo seph’s hospital in Omaha. . . Frank Kazda, sr., is “quite ill” at his home in Atkinson. LYNCH — Mrs. George W. Prait, of Fairfax, S. D., came to Lynch last week for a check up on her injured arm. . . . Don na Grene missed 2 weeks of school due to a bad tooth. . . . Am?ust Kalkowski smashed his finger “severely” while carpen itiing at the Franx Weeder home Tuesday, September 19... Clem Dion, jr., suffered severe shock Saturday when he touch ed a live electric wire in his fa ther’s bakery. INMAN— Mrs. W. E. Kelley returned to her home south of town Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Kelley has been in Our Lady of Lourdes hospital in Norfolk the past 6 days recovering from a major operation. . . . William Butterfield went to Norfolk on Monday to get Mrs. Butterfieldl who has been a patient the past week in Our Lady of Lourdes hospital. She submitted to ma jor surgery Tuesday, September 19. PAGE — Dell Ray Zimmer, son of Mrs. Arlie Ickler, suffer ed a dislocated elbow while playing on the school grounds last Thursday. He is able to at tend school. . . . Mrs. Richard Heiss submitted to an appendec tomy at the Orchard hospital Monday. Her condition is report ed “good.” . . . Mrs. P. E. Nissen is a patient in the hospital at Stuart. Her condition is report ed “about the same.” O’NEILL —Claresse Sullivan took her son, Danny, to Norfolk Thursday, September 21, where he submitted to an appendec tomy at Our Lady of Lourdes hospital. Danny left the hospi tal Monday and will visit a week or so with his grandpar ents, Mr. and Mrs. D. Sullivan, to Norfolk. . . James W. Roon ey was confined to his home Monday and Tuesday. STUART — Dick Kaup was able to attend school the past week. Dick is recovering from a hayfield accident which happen ed August 28, w’hen his legs were badly cut by a mower. Dick is still walking with crutches. INMAN NEWS Mr. and Mrs. Vaden Kivett and son and Mrs. James Galla gher and daughter, Edith, and son, Eddie, left Thursday after noon for Lexington, Mo., where they will spend a few days vis i ing Mr. Kivett and Mrs. Gal lagher’s brother and sister-in law, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Kivett.
