Nuptials Read
A very pretty wedding cere
mony was solmenized at 9 o’
clock Saturday morning, Sep- i
tembcr 16, in St. Patrick’s Cath
olic church in O'Neill when
i Miss Dorothy Clark, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Clark, i
of this city, and James Donohoe,
son of Mr. and Mrs. John Don
ohoe, also of O’Neill, were urtit- !
ed in marriage.
Rev. Alex Onak performed
the double-ring ceremony. Ray
mond and Wayne Donohoe, bro- ,
thers of the bridegroom, were
acolytes.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, was attired in a
white satin gown fashioned
with a high Victorian collar,
tight fitting bodice, long point
ed sleeves and a lo^rg train. Her
fingertip v|U of illusion lace j
I was held in place by a seed
pearl tiara. She carried a white
rosary, a gift of the bridegroom,
and her bouquet was of pink
and white gladioli.
Her matron-of-honor was her
sister, Mrs. George Peterson,
who wore a lavender dress with
matching headdress and mitts.
Her bridesmaids were Miss Dor
othy Donohoe, sister of the
bridegroom, who wore a yellow
dress with matching accessories,
and Miss Donna Davis, friend of
the bride, who wore a blue dress
with matching accessories.
Both girls carried bouquets of
chrysantnemums.
The bridegroom wore a gray
gabardine suit with a white
carnation boutonniere. His only
attendant was his brother, Don
ald Donohoe, who wore a tan
gabardine suit with white car
nation boutonniere.
Mrs. Francis Clark, mother of
the bride, wore a dark green
crepe dress with brown ac
cessories, and Mrs. John Dono
hoe, mother of the bridegroom,
wore a brown dress with green
and brown accessories. Both
wore red carnation cyarsages.
Mrs. James Cronk played the
wedding march and was accom
panist for Danny DeBacker,
schoolmate of the bride and
bridegroom. He sang “Ave Ma
ria” and ‘‘On This Day” during
the ceremony. Dick Clark, Del
bert Robertson and John Joe
Uhl acted as ushers.
A wedding breakfast was held
at the home of the bridegroom’s
parents for the wedding party,
! relatives and friends.
In the afternoon a reception
was held'at the home of the
bride’s parents from 2 to 4 for
relatives and friends. The table
was beautifully decorated with
a 3-tier wedding cake, made by
the bride’s mother and sister,
with a top decoration, of birds
and rings. The cake Served as a
centerpiece for the table with
flowers and candles.
Mrs. James Donohoe^ is a grad
uate of St. Mary’s academy
with the class of 1948 and is em- |
ployed at the Lee store in O’- j
Neill. Mr. Donohoe is a graduate !
of St. Mary’s with the class of
1949 and is employed at the Lo
haus Motor company.
For her going away outfit the
bride wore a dark plaid suit
with black accessories.
After a short trip, the couple
will be at home in O’Neill.
CDA in Social
Meeting—
The Catholic Daughters of
America met Tuesday evening,
September 19, for a social eve
ning. Cards were played. High
prize was awarded Mrs. Jettie
Shorthill and low to Mrs. Fran
cis Gilg. The all-cut went to
Mrs. Ed Murray.
Refreshments were served by
the committee. Mrs. John Don
ohoe was chairman.
Visit Cones—
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Reis, of
Atkinson, were guests at the
Ivan Cone home in O’Neill on
Thursday, September 14.

Miss Rhoda Darlene Sargent,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon
Sargent, of O’Neill, and Robert
LuVerne Parks, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Harold Parks, of O’Neill,
were married Saturday after
noon, September 2.
Rev. Ralph Gerber perform
ed the 2 o’clock ceremony at
First Presbyterian church.
The bride wore a grey suit
with matching accessories and
a corsage of white carnations.
The bridesmaid, Miss Marlene
Malcom, also wore a brown suit
and had a white carnation cor
sage.
The bridegroom wore a blue
business suit and his attendant,
Donald Van Buren, wore a
brown business suit. Each had
a white carnation boutonniere.
Only immediate relatives and
friends were present. Light re
freshments were served at the
M & M cafe following the wed
ding. The young couple will
make their home in O’Neill.
Miss Biglin, Bride-Elect,
Feted at Shower—
Mrs. P. B. Harty and Mrs.
V. Sullivan were hostesses on
Tuesday afternoon, September
19, at a miscellaneous shower at
the Harty home honoring Miss
Jean Biglin, whose marriage to
Louis Zastrow will take place
next month.
Martez Meets—
The Martez club was enter
tained Tuesday evening, Sep
tember 19, at the home o# Mrs.
C. F. McKenna. Winners were
Mrs. Henry J. Lohaus, Mrs. Ed
ward Campbell and Mrs. Frank
Froelich, who was a guest. Re
freshments were served.

Gunnison Homes Prove
Popular to Demand—
The Raitt Co. Homes, of Ains
worth, Monday evening closed
a “very successful” showing of
the new Gunnison Home that
was advertised in The Frontier
last week.
Between 1,000 and 1,100 peo
ple inspected this new home
during the ii-day showing. This
was beyond expectations despite
tne unfavorable weather and
2 days of rain. The favorable
comments about the home in
cluded the liking of the waxed,
hand rubbed finish of the ply
wood walls which bring out the
grain of the wood; the nice large
master bedroom 12’xl4’; the
large closet space; the American
all-metal kitchen; the Moi-rison j
furnace with optional or pro
pane units; large sized utility |
room and many other nice fea
tures.
There were people at the
showing from Hay Springs, 160 ■
miles to the west of Ainsworth
to Orchard and Neligh, 100 miles
to the east of Ainsworth.
The other towns along the
territory were well represented
also.
Mr. Raitt advises that he
plans to erect several more of
these homes in the territory in
1950. George Lindholm and Son,
Ainsworth contractors, have
been given the contract for the
erection of these homes within
the territory.

and Mr. Ressel’s parents, Mr.
and Mrs. J. W. Ressel, visited

er, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Ressel,
