They took Mrs. Hansberry’s parents home after a visit here and at Chadron. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Hubbard and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Shavlik drove to O’Neill Sunday to spend the evening with Dr. and Mrs. C. M. Eason and help cel ebrate Doctor Eason’s birthday anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Harley returned Friday from a week’s vacation in Colorado. They vis ited his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Killum, at Canon Ci ty. In Denver they called on Clarence Larson at the Denver general hospital. They visited his sister, Mr. and Mrs. Duke Struebing, at Prosser on their way home. Rev. and Mrs. Merton Cox called on Rev. and Mrs. L. R. Hansberry Monday on their way to the Black Hills. He has a pas torate in Ohio. Mrs. Henry Wood left Sunday for Boise, Ida., to visit her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Smock, and baby daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Jake Hoerle, Mr. and Mrs. William Jutte, Mrs. John Haake and Mrs. Mary Nei mand drove to Atkinson Sunday to attend the mission festival at Immanuel Lutheran church. Mr. and Mrs. Merle Fagon and son left Monday for a month’s vacation in California. They will visit his brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. True Fagon. Their daughter, Judy remain ed with her grandmother, Mrs. Marjorie Fagon. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Walter, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Walter and Clarence Tibbets returned Sat urday evening from a week’s fishing trip to Lake Winnebe gosh, Minn. They report an “un usually good catch” of fish. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Harley and Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Gillette drove to Pickstown, S. D., Sun day. Mrs. Ed Neiman and daugh ter, of Cozad, are guests of her r—1 parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Han na. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Porter and son and Mike Bennet, of Basin, Wyo., were supper guests Friday in the Chet Fees, jr., home. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Harvey were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Thorin and family. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Clark and daughter, of Stanton, spent Fri day night and Saturday in the Nels Mickkelson home. Mr. and Mrs. Steve Shavlik and Pamela drove to Gardener, la., Tuesday, September 12, where they visited in the home of Rev. and Mrs. J. D. Gibson and family. Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Barnum and Mrs. Chalfant left Tuesday, September 19, for Neligh where they will spend the winter. The ladies’ aid of St. Paul’s Lutheran church met Thursday, September 14, at the church parlors. Fourteen members were present. The president, Mrs. H. C. Walter, had charge of the business session. It was decided to have a special pro gram and lunch at the next meeting in honor of the 20tw anniversary of the aid. No les son was presented at this meet ing. A committee composed of Mrs. Victor Harley, Mrs. Earl Hoerle and Mrs. Mary Hoge served the refreshments.
