to a broken hip, was brought
to the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Katherine Boies, on Sun
day. She is making “satisfacto
ry” progress toward recovery.
Mrs Maude Boies is at Elgin
where she is caring for Mrs. An
na Sheets, who had the misfor
tune to break her hip recently.
AMELIA—Miss LaVern Whit
comb recently had a severe case
of poison ivy. . . . Mrs. Lewine
Wickham returned to Valentine
Sunday. She had been recuper
ating from a recent operation
at the home of her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Pierce. . . . Mrs.
Alice Prewitt returned home
July 20 from Lincoln where she
had been hospitalized for sever
al weeks. . . . Irvin Forbes has
been on the sick list recently.

Eickhoff, ADC, who has been
stationed at Westover Air Base,1

of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mul
ford, and a Hastings college
junior, who plans to be a na
tional missionary. There will be
special music by Lorraine Coats
and Nancy Cowles, both young
people of the Stuart Community
church.
On August 13 services will be
conducted by Helen MeClurg,
daughter of Elmer MeClurg, of
Cleveland, who plans to leave
soon for Sitka, Alaska, to begin
work as a missionary instructor
for Sheldon Jackson junior
college. Special music will be
provided by Sterling Rainey,
jr., of Louviers, Colo., and Miss
McClurg’s brother, Vernon Mc
Clurg.
August 20 services will be
conducted by Henry Warren, of
Atkinson, son of Mrs. Feme
Warren. He is a Hastings college
