Altar Society Is Reorganized— t^inae the reorganization of St. Patrick’s Altar society, a group of 12 women haw vol unteered to act as chairmen for the next year for the pur pose of raising funds for the repair of the church and rec .tory. Each chairman will have an equal number of ladies in her group and the members will be contacted by the chairman within the next 2 weeks. The ladies and the names of their guilds are; Mrs- H. J. Birmingham, St. Catherine; Mrs. Merle Hickey, St. Elizabeth; Mrs. H. J. Lo l.<%us, St. Bridget; Mrs. C. J. Gatz, St. Cecelia; Mrs. W. J. Froelich, S.t. Margaret; Mrs. James Gallagher, St. Therese of the Little Flower; Mrs. Leo Gokie, St. Rita: Mrs. Herman Janzing, St. Rose; Mrs. E. M Gallagher, St. Helen; Mrs. Ed Tharnish, St. Monica: Mrs. Ira Moss, St. Ann; Mrs. Ed Camp bell, St. Agnes. Each of these chairmen will start a traveling basket in hjgr guild. The basket will contaih baked goods for which the re ceiver will pay a fair price. She will then refill the basket, passing it on to another mem ber in her guild. .Since a census oi idurca iif St. Patrick’s parish was not | i completed Sunday, June 11, those ladies who have not turned in or filled out their cards are requested to do so next Sunday. There will be la dies at each one of the masses and they will collect the cards. South Holt Rural Youth Holds Meeting— CHAMBERS — South Holt rural youth club met recently at the home of Bayne Grubb. Three new members have joined the club. They are: Dick Hansen, Verlin and Gary Rich ard. Following the short business meeting, the members of the club had a picnic, lunch. .Vext meeting will be held at Alice Johnson’s home on June 16.—By Mary Jo Mahoney, news reporter. Marks 6th Birthday— Dickie Green, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Green, celebrated his 6th birthday anniversary Tues day, June 13. Mrs. Green took him and his 12 little guests to the park where they played games and were served birth day cake and ice cream. Miss Froelich Elected to Sodality— Miss Nancy Froelich, daugh , ter of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Froelich, was recently elected to Infante de Marie sodality at Barat college, Lake Forest, 111. Upon notification of her elec tion, she was presented with a medal. The faculty and student members of the sodality elect members. This year 44 students were honored. Picnic at Niobrara— On Sunday, June 11, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Laursen, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Cantlon, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Allen, Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Skulborstad, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Carroll, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hunt and Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Haynes and their children went to Niobrara park where they enjoyed a picnic. Colleen Collins Is Feted— Little Colleen Collins, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Collins, was honored at a baby shower Tuesday, June 13, at the home of Mrs. H. S. Moses. The hostesses were the Mes dames Arlo A. Hiatt, Jack E. Davis, C. E. Yantzi and R. M. Sauers. Charlene Larson Is 3-Years-Old— Little Charlene Larson cele brated her 3d birthday anniver sary Thursday, June 8. Char lene, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Larson, had 15 little guests at her party. Helen Moses, Stuart, Becomes June Bride STUART — Miss Helen Mos es, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Moses, of Stuart, and Bobby Goodwin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Goodwin, of Am arillo, Tex., were united in mar riage at the Stuart Federated church on Saturday afternoon, June 10, at 2 o’clock. Rev. Orin Graff officiated. Miss Faye Moses, of Stuart, sang “I Love You Truly” and “Prayer Perfect,”1* accompanied by Mrs. Kenneth Paul, who al so played the processional and recessional marches. The altar and kneeling bench were decorated with garden flowers. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a white marquisette gown design ed with a fitted bodice and long pointed sleeves, the lace ruffled and lace-tiered skirt ended in a 3-yard train. Her 3-tier finger tip veil fell from a beaded tiara. She carried a bouquet of red roses with silver streamers. Matron-of-honor was Mrs. Cary Goodwin, sister of the bride, of Amarillo, Tex. Her gown was a soft marine blue fashioned with Irish lace bodice and nylon net over satin. The gown was girdled with a sash of satin. She wore a hat of the same material with muted blue flowers in net and carried a bouquet of pink carnations with pink streamers. The bridegroom was attend ed by his cousin, Cary Goodwin, of Amarillo. Return from Week Spent in Wyoming NORTH OF STUART— Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Smith, Doris, Neal and Darrel returned home Friday night June 9, from a week s visit in Wyoming. They visited Mrs. Smith’s brother, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Fullerton, and family at Osage, Wyo.; her sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Watt, and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Watt and fam ily at Moorcraft, Wyo,, and other relatives at Upton, Wyo.
