GIVE GENERONSLY "
THE ANNUAL membership drive for the American Red
Cross began Wednesday, March 1, and continues
throughout the month c f March. It s a golden opportunity
for all of us to show the best side of our natures—to dis
play a love for humanity, a compassion for the weak and
afflicted, a chance to sustain the faltering, to feed the hun
gry, to soothe the pains of the unfortunate. A percentage
of these funds will remain with the local chapters.
FRESH IN OUR MINDS is the heroic work of the Ameri
can Red Cross in Holt county only a year ago, when
this organization expended nearly 20-thousand-dollars to
relieve human suffering and prevent catastrophe far worse

than it was. During Operation Snowbound we 1

emergency. That organization was superb in t
need. Grateful Holt countyans now are being c
for membershiJps and contributions. Grateful
give generously.—and promptly.
