There were 16 members present- Reports were filled out and several business matters attended. Mrs. Earl Doolittle led the devotions and Mrs. Alvin Forbes was leader of the program. The snow storm February 11 to 13 made it difficut for teach ers who had gone home for the weekend to reach their boarding places in the district in which they taught. Miss Ruth Lind berg, who lives north of O’Neill, and teaches the Hendricks j school, 15 miles north of Atkin | son, was one of the many who i had a hard time getting back. , Her father, Fred Lindberg, has a power wagon (an army truck) and he brought her to the Hen dicks home. It was storming so hard that it was difficult to find the road. Sometimes they missed it entirely. On the return trip he got within 4 or 5 miles of home and “burned out” something on the army truck and had to leave it and find other means to get home. It was the first snow storm of the winter that amounted to much.
