Appleby-Asher Nuptials Read Miss Shirley Appleby, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Appleby, of Inman, be came the bride of Robert Asher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Asher, of Page, on Satur day. August 27. at the Meth odist church in Inman. Rev. R. M. Wingate officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ste vens. of Lincoln, were the couple’s only attendants. The bride was attired in a blue-gray sharkskin suit with Mrs. Robert Asher O’Neill Photo Co. matching accessories. She wore a white carnation cor sage. Mrs. Stevens wore a gray wool dress and a pink carna tion corsage. The bridegroom and his at tendant wore brown business suits and white carnation 1 boutonnieres. Following the ceremony a dinner was held at the home of the bride’s parents for the immediate families. After which they left for a short wedding trip. Mrs. Asher is employed at Howard’s Market and Mr. Asher is employed at the Merri Dr. Pepper Bottling Co., in O’Neill. They will reside in O’Neill. The cere mony took place at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Lincoln. Mrs. Allen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Skinner, of St. Louis, Mo. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Jerrold Dusatko, of Emmet. Mr. and Mrs. Allen spent Thursday and Friday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Dusatko before returning to their home in Lincoln where Mr. Allen at tends the University of Ne braska. Garhart-Clark Rites at Neligh Miss Ruby Garhart, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. George Garhart, of O’Neill, and Floyd I Clark, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Clark, of O’Neill, were united in marriage Monday at 4 p. tn. at the Neligh court house. The Antelope county judge, H. V. Sheets, officiated. The bride wore a white crepe street length dress and a corsage of cloverblossoms. Miss Rose Hansen, of Vona, Colo., and Mrs. Pete Hansen, of O’Neill, attended the cou ple. Mr. Clark is a graduate of Page high school. After a short visit here they will leave for Seibert, Colo., where they will make their \ home on a farm. Delegate to 64th Congress— James Merriman, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Merriman, left Monday for Baltimore, Md., where he will be a del egate to the 64th congress of his fraternity, Beta Theta chapter. Omaha, of Delta Sig ma Pi. The congress will be in session on Tuesday, Sep tember 6. He will be accom panied by three fraternity bro thers, all of Omaha, who will attend the convention on their way to the East coast. En route to and from Baltimore they will visit several places of interest, expecting to re turn around September 16. Weekend Guests— Weekend guests at the Ver non Lorenz home were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Bowles, and son, Harold, ol Beloit, Kans. Mrs. Loretta Hynes and family left Wednesday for Omaha. Mrs. Louis Kliment, sr., of Atkinson, accompanied them. They returned Sunday, bringing with them Ivan Kai ser, who had been visiting Dwaine Bratetic, South o f Bloomfield, for 10 days. Weekend guests at the Dick Lower home were Mr. and Mrs. La Vern Luhn, of Grand Island. Little Bonnie Lawrence ac companied her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David N. Loy, to Grand Island Monday to visit the Loys’ daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Layton. Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Phipps, of Norfolk, Va., who spent the Summer at Long Pine, stop ped in Saturday to visit Mrs. Phipps’ brother and his fam ily, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kurtz. Miss Hettie Unangst, of Cas per, Wyo., arrived Friday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Milton Krause and family. Miss Un angst visited in Bartlett also. Mrs. John Rotherham, of Inman, spent the weekend as a guest of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Hynes. Mr. and Mrs. John G. Stuif bergen and family returned Monuay from a three-days’ visit in North Platte at the home of the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Blmn. L. D. Putnam returned Sat urday from Martin, S. D., where he was on business for several days. Henry Kuhfahl, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Perry and chil dren and Miss Mary Lois Cav anaugh were in Sioux City Wednesday, August 24. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pribil and family, of Albion, were guests Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wilson. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Langan, of Stuart, visited here Tues day. Mr. and Mrs. John Grutsch and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Tom lisson returned Monday from a 10-days’ fishing trip at Oka sis, Minn. Mrs. W. E.
