Motion by Ray, seconded by McCarville, to transfer $200 from the General fund to the Contin gent fund. Motion carried. Motion by Uhl, seconded by Hickey, to give the City Clerk permission to deposit all cash bonds put forth to move any buildings in the city limits of O’Neill, in the Contingent fund to be refunded after moving is completed and approved. Also any cash bonds paid for in form of a check must be cleared through bank channels before moving is permitted. Motion carried. The application for an off and on sale beer license of Hugh O. Benson came up before the Council. Motion by Hickey, sec onded by Uhl, that same be granted, and that the Mayor be ana is nereay uhclicu iu | dorse the approval on applicant's bond. Benson has made application for an off and on sale beer license, and, all respects in legal and due Whereas, said application is in form, and notice of hearing thereon has been given accord ing to lawr. by publication in the Frontier, and, Whereas, no remonstrances are interpoised, and no objections are on file or made to the grant ing of said application and is suance of license for off and on sale of beer, to said applicant. Now therefore, be it resolved, that the Mayor and City Council of O’Neill, Nebraska, that an off and on sale beer license be granted to said Hugh O. Church of Epiphany Plans Annual Picnic EMMET — The Altar society ! of the Church of the Epiphanv ; met Thursday afternoon. August 4, at the rectory with 27 ladies present. Plans were made for the an nual church picnic to be held I August 28. Mrs. Miller Entertains— Mrs. Robert Miller enter tained the Star Get-to-Gether club at her home on Wednes day evening, August 3. Six members were absent. There were 72 present including the members, their families, and guests. County Agent. A. Neil Dawes and his assistant, Mr. Rawson, and the home exten sion agent, Mrs. Beryl Dam kroger, were present to show pictures of the Yellowstone national park and Alaska. Lunch was served. August 5. at the Piqua Christian church of Piqua Kv., for Mrs. Frank Taylor, 30, of Piqua, with Rev Roberts officiating. Mrs. Tay lor died Wednesday. August 3, at the Goood Samaritan hos pital in Lexington, Ky., follow ing a long illness. Margery Lynn Rees was born February 29, 1919, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Rees, of Pilger. IN 1924 she moved with her family to South Dakota and later to Spencer, where she graduated from the Spencer high school in 1936. After teaching in ru ral Holt county schools for five years and attending the Uni versity of Nebraska for one year she wont to Los Angeles, Calif. There she became the Augusi 18, 1948—PAGE 1 bride of Frank Taylor, of FS qua, Ky. They moved to Piqw in 1945 where they operated • grocery store. They became thr parents of 3 children. Survivors include: widower, sons—Robert, 6, and John, 2; daughter—Judith, 4; parents Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Rees, dt Amelia: brothers — Robert, eft Amelia, and William, of Lin coln.
