All members present except Frickel. Meeting called to order by the Chairman. The forenoon was spent work ing on the budget. 12:00 noon. On motion the board adjourned until 1.00 P. M. Work on the Budget was re sumed and the Budget complet ed. 4 iwi.. v ^*x*JxH ADOPT1UJN AND APPROPRIATION WHEREAS, a proposed coun ty budget for the fiscal year 7 1-49 to 6-30-50, prepared by the Budget Making Authority, was transmitted to the County Board on the 14th day of July, 1949, and WHEREAS, a summary of such proposed budget, together with a notice of public hearing to be held on the 27th day of Ju ly, 1949, was published in the Holt County Independent, a le gal newspaper, on the 21st day of July, 1949, and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held, pursuant to said pub lished notice, on the 27th day of July, 1949, and WHEREAS, the action of the State Board of Equalization has been had and certified to the County Clerk, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT J r -• > rv the Board of County Supervisors of Holt County, Nebraska, as follows: Section 1. That the budget for the fiscal year, 7-1-49 to 6-30-50, as summarized on page 2 of the budget document be, • and the same hereby is, adopted as the budget for Holt County for said fiscal year. O’NEILL LOCALS Mr. and Mrs. A1 Lebert re turned Sunday after having visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Peterson, for al most a week. Mr. Lebert is a teacher in the Lyons school system. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Ray have been in Yellowstone na tional park the past three weeks. They returned last Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Riley were supper guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Clouse, who live North of O’ Neill. Miss Alice Shrader, of Ew ing, is spending a few days with her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald L. Wet tleaufer. She arrived Sunday. Ted Donahoe, of Omaha, stop ped briefly in O’Neill Friday en route from Bonesteel, S. D-, to Omaha. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward S. Donahoe, of Omaha.
