Osen baugh returned Monday from a two week’s vacation. They met Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Gill and family, of Denver, Colo., in Casper, Wyo, from there they visited Yellowstone na tional park, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Spokane, Wa^h. En route home they visited their daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Erickson and family, of Mullen. Jean Froelich Feted Eve Before Wedding— Mr. and Mrs, William J Froelich entertained Friday at a prenuptial dinner in honor of their niece, Miss Margaret Jean Froelich. The dinner was held at the Athletic club in Omaha. Miss Froelich became the bride of John Edward Mc Donald, of Atkinson, Saturday. The Zink’s had a family reunion, all being present but one son, Albert. Other Stuart News Mrs. Rudy Jones and daugh ter Jo, left for Madrid, la., Thursday, August 11. They nave been visiting in the Fred Zink home the last two weeks. Mrs. Jones is Mrs. Zink’s sis ter. Mr. and Mrs. James Allyn and two oldest daughters, Irace and Alice, left Monday, August 15, for a three week acation to the West coast. Garden club met Monday, August 15, with Mrs. Bessie I Farner Miller. Topic of meet ,ng was, “Flower Show” for the Tri-county-fair. Birthday club met at the home of Mrs. Ray Carlisle, on Wednesday, August 17. Mr. and Mrs. George Keidel and Dick were business callers in O’Neill on Monday August 15. They attended achieve ment day activity. Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Coffman and son, left for Idaho by auto Friday, August 12, to visit relatives. August 16—Mrs. Harvey Zim- : merle and son, of Butte. WJAG . . . 780 on your dial! 3 Teams lo Vie at Holt Fair On the baseball menu for the J949 Holt county fairgoers are two baseball teams. O’Neill and Lynch will do battle on Friday, September 2, at 2 p. m. Atkinson will take on the winner as the at hletic highlight on Saturday, September 3. While none of the three clubs has joined the ranks of un beaten in the territory, they, nonetheless, will contribute ri varly and color. "Whenever these three teams are thrown together there's bound to be some ex citing moments," Secretary Ed Wink said. The teams come from two different leagues. Lynch is a second division club in the In terstate (Nebraska-South Da kota) league, and both Atkin son and O’Neill are participat ing this season in the newly formed North-Central Nebras ka day-and-night league. The O’Neill Rockets thus far hold the upperhand over their Atkinson foe. In two meetings already this season, the Rock ets have triumphed each time, 13-10 and 11-2. Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Sunday, August 21 Music furnished by DUANE & LESLIE and iheir cousins of swing Lynch Man, 20, Dies in Hospital LYNCH — Robert Mulhair, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mulhair, jr., of Lynch, died Sunday evening at the Sacred Heart hospital in Lynch, where he had been a patient for sev eral days. He was placed in an iron lung Saturday evening. Cause of his death has not been determined. “Bob,” as he was known, was less than 20 years old. On April 16, 1949, he was married to De lores May, of Monowi. Mr. and Mrs. John Zinky, of La Jolla, Calif., arrived Saturday by bus to spend the weekend in O’Neill with friends. They were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Klmgler and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Klingler. The Klinglers took them to Atkin son Sunday where they are visiting friends. Mr. and Mrs. E. F.
