Motion" carried. Henry Dobrovolny appeared before the Board with a Pet ition to vacate a road. RESOLUTION WHEREAS Henry Dobrovo lny has filed herein a petition asking that Public Road No. 303, Holt County, beginning at (the northeast corner of the Northwest Quarter of Section 27, Township 28, Range 15, running thence south 1 degree, east 40.46 chains, thence south 89 degrees, 45 minutes, east 27.32 chains, thence south 3 degrees, 25 minutes, west 17.76 chains, thence South 18 de grees, 10 minutes, West 22.88 chains to the section line on the South side of said section 27, be vacated and abandoned as a public road, and WHEREAS, it appears from said petition that all of the owners of the land abutting upon said road, as well as a majority of the electors Resid ing within two miles of said road have consented in said petition to the vacation and abandonment of said road, NOW, THEREFORE, be it hereby resolved that Public Road No. 303 as above set forth and described be, and the same hereby is declared vacated and abandoned as a public road. Motion was made by Frickel, seconded by Hubbard that the above Resolution be adopted and also that the bridge across this road be sold to Henry Dobrovolny to be used as a private bridge. Motion was made by Hub bard. seconded by Borg that the County Treasurer be in structed to transfer the bal ance in the following Funds to the General Fund. Holt County Board of Sup ervisors met as per adjourn ment. All members present. Meeting called to order by the Chairman. A group of people from Scott Precinct met with the Board in regard to having a bridge repaired across Red bird Creek. 11:00 A. M. This was the time set for opening the Bids on bridges. Bids from the fol lowing were opened and rej viewed: Inland Construction Co., O maha, Nebr. General Construction Co., Omaha, Nebr. The Bridge Committee met and examined the bids. After careful consideration motion was made by Batenhorst, sec onded by Sterns that Inland Construction Co. be granted a contract for a steel & con crete bridge, they having the lowest bid; that all bids on wood bridges and wooden bridge material be rejected and that the certified check of General Construction Co. be returned to them. Motion ear- 1 ried. 12:00 Noon. On motion the | Board adjourned until 1:00 p. m. O’Neill, Nebraska July '12, 1949 1:00 P. M. Holt County Board of Sup I ervisors met as per adjourn ment. All members present. Meeting called to order by the Chairman. This was the time set for opening bids on culverts. No bids were received, therefore: the Board will be permitted to | go out on the open market and purchase culverts where lever they can buy them to best advantage. Mr. Henry Dobrovolny and the Township Board of Fran cis Precinct met with the Board in regard to the bridge the Board had sold Mr. Dob Irowlruy. After discussion of the matter the following ag reement was drawn up and signed by them: AGREEMENT FOR RIGHT I OF WAY THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered in this 12th day of July, 1949, by and between | Henry Dobrovolny, party of the first part, and Francis Township, party of the second part. WHEREAS, Henry Dobrov olny is the owner of all of section 27 in Township 28 \ North, Range 15, West of the 6th P. M. in Holt County, Ne braska, and | WHEREAS, there formerly | existed a public road running generally across said Section 27 from the North to the South side, which said public road has been recently vacated by order of the County Board of Supervisors of Holt County, Nebraska, and WHEREAS, the said Henry Dobrovolny has purchased from the County of Holt and is now the owner of a certain bridge across Holt Creek lo cated in the Southeast Quarter of said Section 27, which was formerly used in conjunction with said public road, and (Continued on page 10) * Our choice is Americas do ice...
