DANCE at Summerland EWING. NEBR. Sunday, Aug. 14 Music furnished by Ted Oldham AND HIS ORCHESTRA HAYING BEE (Continued from Page 1) to have the new addition to the church underway as soon as pos | sible. The renting of the 120 acres owned by the Nebraska Metho dist conference was discussed Plans were laid and the land was leased for three years. The Inman church will receive half of the hay and stacks and one-half of the proceeds from the sale of blue grass seed from the leased land. There are no immediate plans for building the addition. Many of the haying crew said it would take substantially more money than is now in the building fund. The harvest was virtually fin ished late Tuesday evening. One of the crew, Leo Hart, was called on to donate his equipment I about mid - morning Monday. ; Hart, a member of another | church, told Leon Tompkins that his equipment would not operate properly without his “personal” touch. Then and there, Hart dropped his busy harvesting activities on his own farm North of Inman and wheel ed his equipment to the haying bee. Many others followed suit and it was not long before the hay wras cut, raked, sw'ept and stack ed. Some of the crew estimated the church would receive around 60 tons of hay from the tract after the Nebraska Methodist conference had taken its half.
