Walnofer-T ooker Nuptials Exchanged ATKINSON— Miss Isabelle Walnofer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peiter Walnofer, of Stuart, and Albert Ralph Tooker, son j of Mrs Claude Humphrey, of ! Atkinson, were, united in mar jriage Monday, July 25, gt 9 a. m. in St. Joseph’s Catholic | church in Atkinson. Rev. A. A. Lehman officiated at the single-ring ceremony. The bride’s gown was of imported white embroidered organdy, fashioned with a basque waist, long circular i skirt, and with a row of tiny buttons down the front of the dress. She wore mitts to match and her veil was finger tip length. Her bouquet was an arm bouquet of white or- j chlds and she carried a white : prayer book, a gift of the bridegroom. Mrs. Roy Mack, sister of > the bridegroom, was matron of-honor. Her gown was of orchid organdy and she wore hat and mitts to match. Adelia Walnofer, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. She wore a lime g-reen organdy dress with hat and mitts to. match. Both of the bride’s at tendants’ dresses were fash- j ioned similiar to that of the bride and their bouquets were a colonial arrangement of seasonal flowers. Mrs. Humphrey,' mother of the bridegroom, designed and made all of the gowns. The bridegroom wore a beige gabardine suit and he was attended by Roy Mack and Joseph Walnofer. Their suits were brown and all wore white carnation boutonnieres. The bride’s mother wore pink crepe and the bride groom's mother was dressed in a tearose colored suit. Both wore corsages of pink and white carnations. A breakfast was served at | the home of the bridegroom , , for the wedding party and a reception was held at the bride’s home from 2 to 5 p. m for about 50 guests. Ralph was gradu I ated from the Atkinson high school in 1941. He immediate ly enlisted in the Navy, serv ed 4% years in the Navy air corps — three of which were spent as a radio operator on a patrol bomber in the South Pacific. After his discharge, he attended the University of Nebraska for two years and at present is employed by the Karo Gas and Appliance Co. at Atkinson. The young couple is spend ing a week in the Black Hills and after August 1 will be at home to their friends on the Walnofer property in North Walnofer property. Other Atkinson Newt Mr and Mrs C. H. Dench - field and children, Tommy Dean and Judith Lynn, arriv ed Sunday afternoon to spend a week with her mother, Mrs. Claude Humphreys, and fami ly, and to attend the wedding of her brother, Ralph Tooker and Isabelle Walmxfer. Pfc. Robert Tooker spent a week at the home of his moth er, Mrs. Claude Humphreys, Robert had been stationed at Camp BreAenridge, Ky. Mrs. Dave Ratliff has been in charge ! of the Stockmen’s hotel during their absence. Mr. and Mrs. William Ther kleson, sr., and Mr. and Mrs. William Therkleson, jr., of Ra cine, Wise., came Sunday to spend the week visiting at the Neil Davis, and Perry Barnes homes. Mrs. Therkleson, jr., is the daughter of George Barnes, formerly of Atkinson. Arthur £rb, of Orchard, was in Atkinson last Thursday to: vist his mother, Mrs. Mary Erb. Mrs. Harry Shaw left Satur- : day on a combined pleasure and : business trip. She visited her j son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Shaw, at Lincoln and then went on to Omaha. ! Mrs. Willard Linville is taking 1 care of Jane’s Dress shop dur ing Mrs. Shaw’s absence. Patricia Lou Chace, daughter of the late Raymond Chace, has been staying at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Chace, the past week. Miss Chace’s home is in Florida. McKee went to Sioux City Monday to meet her daughter, Mary Ellen, who has been visiting in Madison, Wi3c. Mrs. Harry Snyder returned Saturday from a short trip to Minneapolis, Minn., where she visited her daughter, Miss Jac 1 que Snyder.
