McCarthy died in testate August 12, 1934, a res ident of Holt County, Nebraska, seized of the North Half of the Northeast Quarter of Section 4, the North Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 3, and the Northeast Quarter of Section 10, and an undivided one-half in terest in and to the South Half of Section 10, all in Township 27, North, Range 12, West of the 6th P. M., in Holt County, Nebraska; that Catherine McCarthy died intestate January 28, 1935, a resident of Holt County, Nebras ka, seized of an undivided one third right, title and interest in the real estate and interest in | real estate above described. Fredrickson’s Cattle Market Better Two hundred head of cattle and 475 head of hogs were sold Thursday, July 14, at the Fred rickson livestock market here. The cattle market was “some” better over the previous week. Yearling steers brought from $19.50 to $21 with yearling hei fers selling at $18 to $19.50. The best cows brought $15.50 to $17. Some fat heifers sold up to $20. Canners and cutters sold for $11.75 to $14.50 with bulls bring ! ing $19 to $20. In the hog market, 200 to 250 i pounders brought $21.50 to $21. 85; 250 to 300 pounders sold for $19 to $21 wifri 300 to 350 pound ers selling at $17 to $18.75. Light sows brought $16.50 with a few 250 pounders that sold up to $19.50. Heavy sows sold for $13. .50 to $15.50 and stags going for $11 to $13.50. The business session was in charge of the president, Mrs. E. R. Car penter. Plans were discussed for get ting Clarence Ernst, of O’Neill, to show the pictures of his trip to Europe at the town hall on Friday evening, July 22. Miss Doreen deed, a visitor, favored the group with a solo. Several articles of special in terest were read. Mrs. H. C. Walter presented the lesson on “Undulant Fever.” The hostess served a luncheon of ice cream, cake and tea. Motion was made by Cronk, seconded by Hubbard that the following Resolution be adopt ed: RESOLUTION “Whereas the County of Holt of the State of Nebraska is the owner of the road es tate described as Lot 9 in Block 16, Original Town of O’ Neill, Holt County, Nebraska, and whereas the title to said property and the improve ments thereon was acquired by said County at a total cost of less than $3,000.00, and Whereas said county now has the opportunity to sell Sumner Downey and Esther Downey for the sum of $5,000. and it appearing that said price is the fair value of said property under present condi tions and that said sum is all that can be realized therefrom and that said property should be sold, “Now, Therefore, I move you that the County of Holt sell to Sumner Downey and Esther Downey the real estate above described for the sum of $5,000.00 in cash and that the Chairman of the Board and the County Clerk be and they hereby are authorized and directed to make, execute and deliver to said purchasers a good and sufficient special warranty deed to said proper ty upon payment of the pur chase price aforesaid.” The Aye and Nay vote being called for on this resolution re sulted as follows: Aye: Frank Cronk, Albert Sterns, A.
