Connie Lu Williams ? a June Bride Miss Connie Lu Williams, daughter of Mrs. Christine Wil liams, was united in marriage on Saturday to Harold Eugene McNally, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. McNally, of Ainsworth, at the First Presbyterian church. Rev. Ralph Gerber officiated at the double-ring ceremony. Mrs. Gerber played “I Love You Tru ly” and the wedding march. The bride, was given in mar riage by her brother-in-law, Or ville Greenfield, of Hastings. She appeared in a pink em broidered cotton street - length dress made of broadcloth. She wore a matching hat. Miss Wil liams carried a white Bible with white carnations and pink rose buds with streamers of white ribbons. Miss Elaine Ressel, of Lincoln, was bridesmaid. She wore a blue organdy dress writh white acces sories. Her corsage was of white carnations and red roses. The bridegroom was attired in a brown gabardine suit. Gene Porter served as best man. He wore a tan gabardine suit. Mr. McNally and Mr. Por ter wore white carnation bout onnieres. Mrs. Williams, mother of the bride, wore a lavender bemberg dress with white accessories. Her corsage was of white carna tions and stephonitis. Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s moth er. Mrs. McNally is a graduate of .1 sc hll iO’geN ihoohrM O’Neill high school. Mr. McNally graduated frojn Johnstown high school. After the reception, the young couple left on a wedding trip. They will make their home in Ainsworth. I if Friendly Neighbors Meet— The Friendly Negihbors Pro ject club met Wednesday, June 122, at the.home of Mrs. Della Eby. There were 10 members and three guests present. Mrs. Raymond Eby read an article o n “Photography of Cakes, Pastries and Fried Foods for Advertising Purposes.” A lunch was served. The next meeting will be held on Wednes day, July 27, at the home of Mr.s Melvin E. Lorenz. Mrs. John Robinson and son, John Lee, of Hampton, la., are visiting relatives and friends here this week. Mrs. Clarence Sauser was high scorer, Mrs. Ralph Beckwith was second high and Mrs. Clif ford Harding was low. Return from Guam— Mr. and Mrs. William Dahms year’s stay on Guam, where Mr. returned this week from a Dahms was employed by the U. S. government. Mrs. Dahms is the former Emmy «Lu Fisher, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. H. J. Go to Omaha— Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Birming ham and Mrs. William J. Froe lich expect to leave for Omaha today (Thursday) where they will meet Mr. Froelich. They will return Friday. Fire Damages Orchard Store— ORCHARD — A tire at the Klusman shoe and harness shop resulted in several thousand dol lars damage to the shop and ad joining buildings early Sunday morning. The flames apparently start ing in a waste paper basket, were noticed at 12:30 p. m. by Gerald Maple, proprietor of the Gamble store, who had just clos ed the store and was getting into his car. • The flicker of flames were seen by Maple through the east window of the shoe store. Maple entered the building attempting to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher, but was unable to do so. He called across the street to a filling station that turned in the alarm. Firemen from Ewing, Clear water and Brunswick helped bring the fire under control. Darrel and Jerry Dexter re turned from Amelia after hav ing spent two weeks with the Raymond Blys. ■ Him mu mi .mmm&si OVER THE WAVES . . .
