Stuart Youth Goes to Annapolis STUART — Robert Jensen, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Jensen, of Stuart, left thi^. week for Annapolis, Md , where he was to report today (Thursday). He has been at tending a preparatory school at Bainbridge. Md., where he was one of 500 students chosen for the academy assignment. One of his brothers. B J Jensen, and wife and two sons, also spent last week at the Jensen home. On Saturday an other brother, Melvin, and wife and baby, arrived; B. J and Melvin and their families are from Grand Island. Other Stuart New* Mrs. F. P. Murphy entertain ed at bridge Thursday, June 2, at her home. High score was won by Mrs. Ed Straka. A lunch was served. Miss Theresa Levi entertain ed the Pitch group at her home Sunday evening, June 5. Refreshments were served by the hostess. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zink cel ebrated their 40th wedding an niversary Sunday, June 5. Mr and Mrs. Frank Stole nart, of Newport, and Allan Chestnut, of Bassett, were call ers at the Mr. and Mrs. Ray Carlisle’s Memorial day. Mr and Mrs. Glenn Carlisle and children, of Atkinson, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Zink, of Glen dale, Calif, were dinner guests at the Carlisle home Monday, May 30. Mrs. Charles Schultz enter tained the High Five group at her new home Friday, June 3. Those receiving prizes were Miss Noma Fuller, Mrs. Frank Steinhauser and Mrs. Ben Eng ler. The ACWC, of Atkinson, will hold its annual picnic at the home of Mrs. Fred Zink, of Stuart today (Thursday). Their daughter, Nancy, who has been attending the University of Nebraska, ac companied them home and will spend her vacation in sm art with her parents. Mrs. Charles Mulford and Lindy drove to Lincoln Wed nesday, June 1. Lindy will take some examinations at the University of Nebraska, and Bill, his brother, will accom pany them home. Both boys will be home for the Summer. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Shald, of Edgemont, S. D., who bought the Mrs. J. W. Rhodes property in East Stuart, are moving in this week. F P. The secretary, Mrs Russell Hipkie, was au ! thorized to send $65 to the po I lio fund in the name of the club. It was decided to hold the annual dinner honoring the husbands on Father’s day, June 19. The dinner is to be held in the church basement. Mrs. John Whitman won the contest conducted by the host ess. Lunch was served at the close of the meeting.
