the Holt County Board of Equ
alization adopt the recommen
dation of Mr. MeCully, State
Tax Field Representative, to in
crease the assessment schedule (
of the following business places,
and that they be notified to ap
pear before the Board of Equali
zation on May 31, 1949 to show
cause as to why these increases
should not be made:

Board recommend to The Ne
braska Liquor Control Commit
tee that they reject this appli
cation. This action is requested
because of complaints that have
been made to the Board about
the character of the man, the
way in which he conducts his
business and the location of his
place of business. Motion car
ried.
RESOLUTION
Be it resolved by the Board
of Supervisors of Holt County,
Nebraska, that Elmer Juracek
and Leonard Juracek, be and
they hereby are directed to im
mediately provide for the sup
port of Alex Juracek, their Fath
er, and upon their failure so to
do that the County Attorney of
Holt County be directed to pro
ceed against the said Elmer Jur
acek and Leonard Juracek for
the recovery of such penalties
as may be provided by Section
68-101 R. S. for Nebraska for i
1947. A copy of this Resolution j
shall be served upon the said I
Elmer Juracek and Leonard Jur
acek by having the County Clerk
mail the same to them in this
County by Registered Mail, Re
turn Receipt requested.

$150.00 in payment of a bridge
located in Sec. 27, Twp. 31,
Range 13, which he wishes to
purchase from the County for
his own private use.
Motion was made by Frickel,
seconded by Hubbard that the
above check be accepted and
the bridge be sold to Mr. Tesch
for the amount of the check.

Meeting called to order by
the Chairman.
The Finance Committee re
ported that all of the fees from
the various offices for the month
of April had been remitted to the
County Treasurer as required by
law.
Motion was made by Cronk,
seconded by Frickel that the
above Report be accepted.
This was the time set for the
Hearing requested by Melvin
Crotty. The County Attorney
and three Patrolmen and Mr.
and Mrs. Crotty appeared. Both
sides presented their case and a
compromise agreement was
reached.
Motion was then made by
Frickel, seconded by Cronk that
the Holt County Board of Su
pervisors recommend to the
State Liquor Control Commis
sion that they reconsider their
recent decision to not grant Mr.
Crotty a license, as the Board of
Supervisors has decided they fa
vor issuing Mr. Crotty an On
and Off Beer License on con
dition that he close his place of
business at 12:00 Midnight on
week nights and at 6:00 P. M. on
Sunday evening, which Mr.
Crotty has agreed to do.
