Kellar Presbyterian
Aid Meets —
The Kellar Presbyterian Aid
held an afternoon meeting at
the home of Mr. and Mrs Ernest
Young on Wednesday, May 11.
Theie were 15 members and five
visiters present.
The meeting opened with
group singing after which “The
Lord’s Prayer” was repeated.
The president, Mrs. Young, read
the scripture lesson.
A box of used clothing was j
prepared to be sent to an or- |
phans’ home in Omaha. It was J
also planned to take the canned
goods, which have been col
lected during the Winter to the
Smith store to be made ready
for shipment to the home.
No time or place for the next
meeting was decided upon so
that will be announced later.
The meeting closed by re
peating a verse from the Bible.
A lunch was served by the
hostess after the meeting ad
journed.

Prepares History
CHAMBERS — The Valley
Center extension club met at
the home of Mrs. Ernest Farrier
on Friday, May 13, with an at
tendance of 14 members and one
visitor, Mrs. Harry Collins, of
Denver, Colo.
The lesson “His. Hers, and
Theirs,” regarding the commun
ity property law, was presented
by Mrs. Lloyd deed. It was an
interesting lesson with plenty of
food for thought, members said.
The club history, written by
Mrs. C. V. Robertson, was read
by Mrs. Kenneth Adams. The
club still has four charter mem
bers—Mrs. Lloyd Gleed, Mrs. E.
R. Carpenter, Mrs. C. V. Rob
ertson and Mrs. H. C. Walter.
The business session was in
charge of the president, Mrs. E.
R. Carpenter. An interesting pa
per on using our prized posses
sions was given by Mrs. Clyde
Kiltz.
Lunch was served at the close
of the meeting. The next meet
ing will be with Mrs. Glee Grim
eson June 1. The lesson will be
on “Lawns,” to be presented by
Mrs. C. V. Robertson.

Extension Club
Adopts Home —
ATKINSON — The Atkinson
extension club voted to adopt
Mother Jewel’s home at York as
its children’s home for the year.
Several extension clubs have
been doing this and it is intend
ed that in this way aid will be
better distributed.
The Atkinson club also sent a
contribution to the fund which
is to pay for the course of a
Chinese girl who is attending
school in the United States.

The bride was attended by
her sister, Mrs. Elsie Obermiller.
Donald Green served as best
man.
Mrs. Green wore a grey suit
with brown and white accessor
ies. Mrs. Obermiller was attir
ed in a grey dress with blue ac

The bridegroom wore a navy
pin stripe business suit.

A dinner for 17 relatives was
served at the home of bride’s'

lor, on Friday evening.
The young couple left Mon
day on a short trip. They will

ranch, West of Elgin, on the
Beaver, where Mr. Green is em
ployed.
