The work on the Christmas program is progressing. The committee met with the work ers’ conference Wednesday, December 1, and all plans were completed at that time. Everyone is asked to bring “cookies” to be packed and sent to Mother Jewel’s home for Christmas. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Tom linson and Mrs. L. R. Tomp kins were in Norfolk Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rich ards returned to their home at Beatrice Saturday morning after spending a few days at the Cal Geary home. Pvt. Paul Hartigan returned Sunday morning to Ft. Riley, Kans., after spending a few days here with his mother. Paul got here too late for the funeral of His grandfather, the late Tom Hartigan. Mr. and Mrs. Leo P. Moss man left Monday for Lincoln where they will spend a cou ple of days with Mrs. Moss man’s sister and brother-in law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mc Grail. Mr. and Mrs. Karl L. Keyes and son, Donald, and Miss Mildred Keyes went to Battle Creek Friday to attend the fu neral of Mrs. Keyes’ brother, Charles R. Edwards. Mrs Lewis Kopecky, jr., had charge of Miss Keyes’ room at school during her absence. Mrs. James McMahan and daughter, Patricia, were in Norfolk Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. A. N.
