place of beginning, in which

terest by inheritance from the
decedent herein, praying for a

Father of Atkinson
Man Goes to Europe
ATKINSON—R. C. Graff, of
Bancroft, father of Rev. Orin
C. Graff, of Atkinson, is one
of the Nebraska farmers who
left New York City Tuesday,
November 16, by plane to vis
it France, England, Denmark,
Belgium, Holland, Luxemburg,
Switzerland, Italy and the
French Riviera.
The trip is sponsored by ra
dio station WOW and the pur
pose of the trip is to ex
change ideas with the farm
ers of those countries. Seven
teen of the 25 who will make
the trip, are from Nebraska.
Clarence Ernst, of O’Neill, is
also on the tour.

Sgt. John (“Jack") Judge
left for his base at Salma,
Kans., Friday after sending his
furlough with his parents', Mr.
and Mrs. Joe Judge. Jacks
last station was Guam. At this
time he has not been notified
of his new post.
Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Shell
hase returned Friday from a
trip to Concordia, Kans., and
Superior where they visited
relatives. They were gone
about a week, stopping at
Hastings enroute to visit their
son, Kieth, and family.
Mrs. Ray Elder returned on
Tuesday, November 9, from
Colorado Springs, Colo. She
had been visiting her son,
Kieth, and family. The Kieth
Elders have a new baby son,
Michael Raymond.
W. Freeman drove to pan
croft Sunday to visit his little
daughter, Penelope, who lives
with her grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. F. Carey, of Ban
croft. He was accompanied by
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Martens
and family. They also visited
at the R. C. Graff home there.

weekend at the ranch home 0
her son, Alfred, and family.
Mr. and Mrs. George Barnes
and family, of Racine, Wise.,
are in Atkinson. They came

tend the funeral of Mr s.
Barnees’ father, Sam Ander
son, formerly of the Phoenix
community. The funeral was
held Wednesday, November 17,
at the Presbyterian church in
Atkinson. ,

IRISH LASSIES TROOP I
The Irish Lassies Girl Scout
Troop I met Tuesday, Novem
ber 9, at 3:30 p. m. at the
Knights of Columbus hall. We
said the pledge, Girl Scout
promise and laws. There were
22 girls present.
