Letta Sexsmith during this
week were her son, Harold
who returened to Baker’s Field,
Calif., after having spent the
winter in Omaha, and her
daughter and her husband, Mr.
and Mrs. Charles L. Mason, of
Omaha. The Masons returned
Tuesday.
Women's Club to Meet—
Mrs. Ted McElhaney will be
hostess to the O’Neill Womens
club Wednesday, April 21.
Mrs. Ralph Rickley will give a
book review.
To Visit California —
Mrs. Esther Cole Harris left
Monday for El Centro, Calif.,
for a three week’s visit with

The wedding of Miss Mar
garet Helen Sauser, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Sau
ser, of O'Neill, and Sylvester
M. Venteicher, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Ben Venteicher. of Or
chard, took place Monday at
9 a. m. at St. Patrick’s Catn
olic church with Rev. C. J.
Werner performing the cere
mony.
The bride appeared in a
white taffeta gown, with fitted
bodice, and a finger-tip veil
held in place by a tiara of
pearls. She carried a bouquet
of roses and snapdragons.
I Mrs. Tom Goeken, of Omaha,
was the matron-of-honor. She
wore a blue floorlength gown
and carried a bouquet of car
nations and snapdragons.
Bridesmaids were Miss Marv
Thompson, of Wayne, and Miss
Rita Seuntjers, of Danbury, la.
The Matrons-of-honor wore
blue and pink floor-length
gowns and carried small bou
quets of snapdragons.
Donald Sauser, brother of
the bride, attended the bride
groom. Ushers were Raymond
and Ferdinand Venteicher. of
Omaha, brothers of the bride
groom. •
Following the ceremony a
dinner was served to the wed
ding party and relatives at the
M^’M cafe.
The bride was graduated
from O'Neill high school and
has been teaching school in
Page and in Orchard.
The bridegroom graduated
from the Orchard high school
and has been engaged in farm
ing south of Ewing, where the
couple will reside.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dierks, of
Atkinson, were weekend guests
at the home of Mr. and Mrs
Herman De Groff.

Flans to Incorporate
Fifty-six members attended
the regular April meeting of
American Legion auxiliary Si
monson unit 93, held Wednes
day, April 7.
Purchase of supplies to fill
he Veterans hospital assign
ment were approved. The unit
voted to incorporate the organ
ization and a representative to
Girls state was selected.
A committee composed of
Melcina Martin, chairman, and
Donna Humpal, Margaret Jur
gensmeier, Mary Helen Yantzie,
and Betty Sanders volunteered
to sell advertising for 24 card
tables to be used in the hall.
At the close of the business
session, a “shower” of kitchen
equipment and dishes was
held by the members to more
completely outfit the Legion
kitchen. A large and varied
assortment of gifts was re
ceived.

Mrs. Herbert Peterson was
hostess to the members of the
:1FF club on Monday, April 5.
Mrs. Harrison Bridge won high
score, Mrs. Robert Evans the
second high, and Mrs. D. C.
Schaffer won the all cut prize.
Mrs. R. L. Bode won the guest
high score. At the close of the
evening a birthday cake was
served in honor of the birth
day anniversary of Mrs. Fred
Saunto. •

entertained the Pinochle club
at their home Sunday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Dailey won
high scores, while Miss Joan
Dohn and Harvey Sawyer got
low scores. The traveling prize
