    Cactus Club Meets—
The Cactus club met at the i
home of Mrs. Bennett Sanders
on January 21. The meeting
was called to order by the vice
president, Mrs. Axel Borg. Nine
member and three guests were
present.
“Breakfast, a Family Affair,’’
was presented by the leaders,
Mrs. Borg and Mrs. Sanders.
They demonstrated a number
of ways to serve breakfast
fruits and pancakes.
The next meeting will be at
Mrs. Carl Pfeil’s February 5.
Project Club at Eby Home —
The Friendly Neighbors pro
ject club met January 22 with
Mrs. Raymond Eby. Mrs. Del
la Eby was a guest.
Mrs. Emmett Crabb and the
hostess gave a demonstration
of breakfast in the home. The
club voted to donate $16.50 to
wards Donna Mae Fuhrer’s po
lio treatment.
The next meeting will be
held February 26 at the home
of Mrs. Emmett Crabb.

recent callers at the L. A. Ott
home on their way back from
visiting relatives in Oklahoma,
Colorado, and the western part
of this state. Mr. Erb was born
and raised near O’Neill.

John H. McCarville, a newcomer in O’Neill
during the past 18 months, is an old-hand in
the picture-taking business. He started by
making aerial photographs for the Navy
during World War II. As a staff photographer,
he coyers everything from bubble-gum
contests to floods. The Frontier during 1947
published more “homeprint" pictures than
all other Holt county newspapers combined!
