The WCTU held a county

Organise Lutheran League—
Ten members of the Christ
Lutheran church met last Thurs
day to organize a Lutheran
Women’s Missionary league.
Rev. Clyde Cress discussed the
purpose of the league and it
was decided that Bible study
would tonstitute the lessons.
Meetings will be held the second
Thursday of* each month at the
church parlors.

The Alpha club met Novem

guest at the meeting. Mrs. Carl

Christmas party, will be held
December 10 at the home of
Mrs. Sam Robertson.
Roller Skating Parly—
Last Thursday evening the
seventh and eighth grades of the
Ewing school invited the eighth
grade of the O’Neill public
school to a skating party held in
Ewing.
Merry Mix Club Meets—
The annual dinner party of
the Merry Mix club was held at
the home of Mrs. H. G. Kruse
on Tuesday evening. Mrs. R. M.
Sauers won the high score in
bridge.

Leola Carey Weds
Raymond Wilkinson
The marriage of Miss Leola
Carey, daughter of Fred Carey,
and Raymond Wilkinson, son of
Mrs. Cora Wilkinson, both of
O’Neill, took place Tuesday af
ternoon in Bartlett, with Judge
Miner performing the ceremony.
The couple was attended by
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Otter, of O’
Neill. The bride wore a light
gray suit with black accessories
and wore a corsage of pink and
white carnations. Mrs Otter
also wore a suit of gray and a
corsage of pink and white car
nations.
The bride is a graduate of the
O’Neill high school in 1946.
The bridegroom also attended
school in O’Neill and served in
the Army in World War II and
was overseas for three years.
The young couple will reside
in O'Neill where Mr. Wilkinson
is engaged in the trucking busi
ness.
Miss Margie Lines Weds
Milo Gorgen Here
Miss Margie Lines, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Danna Lines,
of Inman, and Milo Gorgen, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gorgen,
of O’Neill, were married in the
Methodist parsonage here Tues
day with the Rev. Lloyd Mullis
performing the ceremony.
The bride wore a winter white
suit of wool, and her attendant,
Mrs. Jack Barr, who is a sister
of the bridegroom, wore a dress
of wine crepe.
Dale Lines, brother of the
bride, attended Mr. Gorgen.
After a short wedding trip to
Lincoln, the couple will reside

Church Ceremony
ATKINSON—The wedding of
Miss Kathleen Straka, daughter
of Mr and Mrs. Henry Straka,
jr.. and Edward G. Dvorak, both
of Stuart, took place Tuesday in
Atkinson. Rev. George Pell
grim, of Omaha, performed the
9 a. m. ceremony at St. Joseph’s
Catholic church.
Immediately after the cere
mony, a breakfast was served
to the bridal party at the OK
Inn. A reception was held in
the afternoon at the home of
the bride’s parents.
After a snort wedding trip,
the couple will reside in Atkin
son.
The bride is a graduate of At
kinson high school and worked
at Hoskinson’s store there. She
also spent a year in Chicago,
111., where she was employed by
the Veterans’ Administration.
