Donald Adamson Wed
Miss Ethel May Endicott and
Donald Adamson were married
at 2 p. m. Sunday in the Meth
odist church here with Rev.
Lloyd W. Mullis, church pastor,
performing the double-ring cer
emony.
The Adamsons will reside in
O’Neill where Mr. Adamson is
employed by the Davidson
plumbing firm and his bride is
an employee of the Northwest
ern Bell Telephone company.
The bride is a daughter of
* Mr. and Mrs. Earl Endicott, of
Spencer, and she is a graduate
of the Lynch high school.
The bridegroom attended the
O’Neill public school and served
in the Air Force for four years
during World War II. He was
in the European theater of op
erations. He is a son of Mr. and
Mrs. Carl Adamson, of O Neill.
Their attendants at the wed
ding were Junior Adamson; and
Eunice Adamson, brother and
sister of the bridegroom.
Foursome Entertains
at Golden Hotel —
On Friday evening about 50
ladies were entertained at a dm*
ner-bridge held at the Golden
hotel dining room. The co
hostesses were Mrs. Hugh Kay,
Mrs. Ralph P. Rickly, Mrs. F. J.
Fisher and Mrs. Robert Evans.
High score was won by Mrs.
Hugh Coyne. Mrs. H. J. Ham
mond won second honors. Inc
two all-cut prizes were award
ed to Mrs. William J. Froelich
and Mrs. R. M. Sauers.
Hallowe'en Party —
The Misses Barbara Bennett,
Ardis Grenier, Betty Hailey,
Beverly Norman, Vernice Beck
with, and Ramona Wayman
were hostesses at a Hallowe en
party Friday evening in the
Verne Beckwith home. There
were 18 guests at the
eluding Mr. and Mrs. Leo Mul
len, who were sponsors.
The party was given by the
JUG club of eighth grade girls.

After the guests played
games, Katheryn opened her
gifts. Refreshments of sand
wiches, cake and jello were

The Elkhorn Project club met

Howard as assistant hostess.
Plans for the coming year were
made. The lesson on “Sanita
tion” was presented by leaders,
Mrs. Zella Cook and Mrs. Mer
nice Fetrow. The tables and
rooms were decorated with
Jack-O’-lanterns and Hallowe’en
candles. At the close, refresh
ments were served.

The Merry Mix club met on
Tuesday afternoon at the home
of Mrs. C. W. Porter. Mrs. A.
B. Hubbard was winner of the
high prize and Mrs. J. D. Osen
baugh won the low prize.

CELIA SIDELIGHTS
L. W. Terwilliger is doing
some fixing up at his place.
They have been running cement
and have put a new floor in a
henhouse and new foundations
and otherwise at lixing it
as a storage granary for soybean
cubes and feeds.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wining
spent October 27 at the L- W.
Terwilliger home.
Perry Terwilliger was a Sun
day guest of Bob Pease on Oc
tober 26.
Ray and Bob Pease helped
Victor Frickel move his spring
pullets into the laying house on
October 29. They moved around
150 white leghorns.
Most of the men in the neigh
borhood are husking corn, and
some of the women. Two or
three mechanical cornpickers
are in operation In the Celia
community.
D. W. Allard and son, Vin
cent, have been doing carpenter
work on the Dell Scott home at
Celia. The house is being ex
tensively remodeled and fixed
up.
Lex and Paul forsythe were
guests at the George Beck home
Friday night.
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Frickel
and twin sons, Harold and Gar
old. and small son, David Lee,
called on Mr. and Mrs. George
Beck on Sunday night.
Mr. and Mrs. George Beck
and son, Duane, drove south of
Atkinson Sunday where they
were guests at the Albert Smith
ranch. This is the former Carl
Smith ranch, and Mrs. Albert
Smith is the former Quentin
Milnar, and is a niece of Mrs.
Beck.

'home where they hunted, but
came home empty-handed. Mr.
and Mrs. R. M. Pease were also

Mrs. Dell Scott called on Mrs.
Conrad Frickel, jr., last Thurs
day. Both Mrs. Scott and Mrs.
Fnckel are flower enthusiasts
and Mrs. Scott is working at
getting their yard fixed up.

post-Hallowe’en party at the
Clarence Fockel home Monday
