I Mrs. Lindberg Wins — The M M bridge club met Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. John Ke: senbrock. Mis. H. L. Lindberg won high score; Mrs. Lucille Hitte, second high. Mrs. H. E. Weier; guest high, and Mrs. John Conard, of Em met, all-cut. Mrs. Campbell Is Hostess — Mrs. Edward Campbell was chairman of the bridge luncheos at the Country club Wednesday ♦» afternoon. The high prize went to Mrs. Dele French; the first all-cut to Mrs. Dale Kesenbrock and the second to Mrs. James Berrigan, of Atkinson. Mrs. Stannard Hostess — Mrs. David Stannard enter tained the Delta Deck club Tues day evening. After the dinn >r party at the M & M cafe , the club played bridge at the Coun try club. Mrs. Henry Lohaus and Mrs. Homer Mullen won high scores Mrs. Lindberg Entertains Merry Mix Club — Mrs. Harold Lindberg enter tained the Mer.y-Mix club at her home Tuesday with a “cov ered-dish” luncheon. D., Saturday after attending the funeral of their husband and grandfather, George E. Ernest. Albert Ernest, who had b -en in O’Neill for the funerrl of his father, George E. Ernest, return ed Sunday to his home in De fiance, la. Mrs. Alice Bridges spent the weekend in Sioux City. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Connors of Omaha, spent the weekend in O’Neill at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Wallace. Mrs. H. L. Whitman and fam ily, of Boston, Mass., spent the weekend at Verdigre. Mrs. Frank Oberle, of O’Neill, accom panied them. Miss Kathryn McCarthy re turned Friday. She had be-m visiting her brother, John F. Mc Carthy, in Omaha. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wilson re turned from Omaha last Thurs day after visiting relatives there for four days. Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Roth, of Lincoln, are visiting in O’Neill at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George R. Robertson. They ar rived Sunday. Miss Elaine Ressel is spending the week in Hartington. Miss Irenaeia Mullen left early Tuesday for Omaha to spend a few days with her siste', Miss Henrietta Mullen. Moses and son, Robert, of Wayne, arrived Friday for a week’s visit at the H. S. Moses home. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Osbo ne, of Wisner, Neb. came August 1 to visit Mrs. Osborne’s moiher. Mrs. W.O.A. Woods. They drove on to Winner, S. D., to visit their son, Hale Osborne, and family. Mr. and Mrs. C. VerMaas, of Lincoln, visited Dr. and Mrs. Ea son and Miss Rena Coppac re cently on their way to Yellow stone park. Mrs. VerMaas was formerly Norma Coppac. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Walter and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Walter drove to Clearwater, Neb. August 3 to attend a family gathering at the August Walter home in honor of Mr. Walter’s birthday anniver sary. About 20 relatives were present.
