COMMUNITY FETE HELD AT EMMET Fourth Marked with Affair at Robert Fox Farm EMMET — Mr. and Mrs. Wil liam Serck and daughters help ed make the Fourth a memor able one for the young fo ks at Emmet by providing a d s play of fireworks and helping arrange a weiner roast. Meanwhile, a community pic nic was held at the Robert Fox farm with over 75 persons pre sent. A basket lunch was ser ved at noon. Mrs. Grant Pea cock was in charge of the pro gram, which consisted of mus ical numbers, poems, games and races. A community sing cli maxed the afternoon. "B‘ Square Meets— INMAN—-The “B” Square 4-H Bird club met Monday evening. Achievement day plans were discussed. 'I’he next meeting will be held Monday at the home of Ermand Keyes. Mr. and Mrs. Preston and Marlene left Monday for Englewood, Calif., for a month’s visit before returning home. A large group attended a Fourth of July picnic at the i Merwyn French home. A number of the young mar ried people held a picnic at O’ j Neill on the Fourth. Miss Audree Nelson, a stu dent at Wayne State Teachers’ college, spent the weekend with her sister, Mrs. L. D. Put nam. and Mr. Putnam.
