Nuptial Vows
Miss Miriam Kubichek, daugh
ter of Mrs. Susan Kubichek, of
O’Neill, and Kieth Abart, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Abart,
of Emmet, were united in mar
riage at 9 a. m. Saturday by Rev.
C. J. Werner in the rectory of
St. Patrick’s church here.
The bride wore a white suit
with pink accessories and a cor
dage of white gardenias and pink
roses. Her attendant, Mrs. Mil
ton Nesmith, a niece, wore a
pink suit with a similar corsage.
The bridegroom wore a tan
suit and his brother Dercy Abart,
serving as bestman, wore a dark
brown suit.

Out-of-town guests at the
wedding were Wilfred Kubichek.
brother of the bride; Mrs. M. J.
Timlin and Mrs. John Haggerty,
sisters of the bride; and Mr. and
Mrs. Milton Nesmith, all of Cas
per, Wyo.; Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Mc
Manamy, of Council Bluffs, la.,
sister and brother-in-law of the
bride.

At 11 a wedding breakfast was
• served at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Ed Haneock. The bridal
party’s table was decorated with
a three-tiered wedding cake pre
pared by Mrs. Marvin Johnson
and Mrs. Hancock. The center
piece was a bouquet of white
peonies, carnations and snap
dragons with a few sprays of
fern. Pink-and-white candles
and flowers were on the tables
and around the room.
From 1 to 4 p. m., there was a
reception at Mrs. Kubichek’s
home. Coffee and cake were
served. Mrs. Johnson cut the
cake, Mrs. Albert Evans poured,
Mrs. Floyd Wilson cared for the
silver, and Mrs. Charles Switzer,
Mrs. Miles Jones, Miss Eunice
Chudomelka assisted Barbara
Hancock, niece of the bride, had
charge of the guest book and
Sharon Hancock, also a niece of
. the bride, was in charge of the
gifts.
After the reception the newly
married couple left for Omaha
and Council Bluffs.
They will make their home in
O’Neill, where Mr. Abart is as
sociated with the Fredrickson
Livestock Commission company.
Seaman First-Class Lyle C.
Walling, who has been stationed
at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, spent j
the weekend here with his
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L. C.
Walling.

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ken
ny, of Amelia, have announced
the approaching marriage of
their daughter, Glenaspa, to
Gordon B own, #of Chambers.
Their wedding will take place
June 22 at St. Paul’s Lutheran

Mr. and Mrs. Victor Halva and
Mr. and Mrs Lod Janousek
drove to Omaha Friday to attend
the wedding of Jerry Halva and
Agnes Rathovic and also to visit
with Lydia and Fred Halva.

Nuptial Rite

The Holiness chapel here was
the scene of a pretty June nup
tial rite in which Miss Blanche
Marie Worth, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Clarence E. Worth, be
came the bride of Benny R. Wet
zler, son of Mary Wetzler. Rev.
Melvin Grosenbach otficiated in
the 12:30 p. m. ce-emony.
The matron-of-honor was Mrs.
Adolph Wetzler, sister of the
bride, and the bride’s brother,
S-Sgt. Charles E Worth, of CCa
nute Field, 111., was the bestman.

girls. They wo:e white organdy
dresses with pink-and-blue trim
ming.
The bride appeared in a white
taffeta wedding gown reminis
cent of the Martha Washington
era. It had a drop-shoulder yoke
of marquisette, a capped and
molded bodice, a full-gathered
skirt billowing over a hoep?d
petticoat and sweeping back in
to a court train. A narrow ruffle
of lace traced the neckline and
the edges of the long, tight
sleeves. Her finger-tip veil was
of bridal illusion, fastened to a
Maiy Queen of Scot headdress.
The bride carried a bouquet of
pink-and-white sweet peas.
The bride’s attendant wore a
blue organdy gown with white
flower design.
Rev. and Mrs. J. M. Cummings
sang two duets ,‘T Love You
Truly" and “Love Never Fails,”
accompanied by Mrs. Kenneth
J. Scott at the piano.
The chapel was decorated in
pink-and-white.
Mrs. Wetzler graduated from
O’Neill high school in 1945. Mr.
Wetzler served three years in the
Navy following his schooling
here. He is employed by the O’
Neill Cleaners. Following their
wedding trip to the Black Hills,
the couple will reside in O’Neill.
Hansens Entertain —
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hansen and
Mr. and Mrs. Gene Hansen, of
Stanton, Mr. and Mrs. Marcel
lus Schaaf, of Atkinson, Mr. and
Mrs. Paul Hahn, of Pierce, and
Mr. and Mrs. James Corkle were
Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and
Mrs. C. F. Hansen.
Family Reunion
Held at Des Moines —
Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Young, of
Ravenna; Mr. and Mrs. Austin
Hynes and daughter, Regina, Mr.
and Mrs. L. R. Brown and son,
Terry, and Mrs. O. J. Drueke
and family spent the weekend
in Des Moines, la., attending a
family reunion.
Carole Johnson Honored
on 8th Birthday —
Miss Carole Johnson, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin John
son, celebrated her eighth birth
day anniversary Tuesday.
Twelve guests attended. Games
were played and refreshments
were served.

Mrs. R. M. Sauers entertained
the Merry Mix club at her home

Mrs. Lorenz Bredemeier and
daughters, Linda and Lana, de
parted Monday for Scottsbluff
for a two-weeks’ visit.
Mrs. Earl Spendlove is in Pan
guitch, Ut., visiting her parents
for several weeks.
Harry Sullivan, Ed Hynes and
Jerry Tomjack have left for the
South for six weeks harvest work.
Joseph Hood visited his sister

a brown suit.
The bride was graduated from
the Page high school with the '
class of 1944 and taught two j
terms of school. For the pasi I
five months she has been em- !
ployed in Omaha.
The bridegroom is a graduate
of Jackson high school of Lin
coln, and since graduation has
been in the Army air force.
Following the ceremony th •
couple left for a week’s trip af
ter which they will return to
Omaha to make their home.

double-ring ceremony.
The bridal gown was of nylon |
marquisette. It was fashioned J
with a long bodice and trimmed
with beaded top. She wore a
single strand of pearls. The full
skirt feU into a graceful train
and her fingertip veil was of
rosebud lace. It fell from a
beaded headband.
Miss Arlene Baumeister, sister
of the bridegroom, was maid-of
honor. Duane Berk was best
man.
After a wedding trip to the
Black Hills the couple will re
side in O'Neill.

brara and made their home in
the Dorsey community until a
few years ago when they moved
to O’Neill. They have one daugh
ter, Mrs. William Hladic.
