i rr Hold Family "Get-Together"— Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Spry held a family “get-together” Sunday at their home. The guests were Mrs. Spry’s sister, Mrs. Forrest Smith, and Mr. Smith, of Grand Island; Mrs. Spry’s sister-in-law, Mrs. Richard Stearns, and chil dren, Laurena and Janice, of Wood River, S. D., and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Tenborg and baby, of Emmet. All the guests stayed for the weekend except the Tenborgs. Mrs. A. L. Stearns, who is Mrs. Spry’s mother, was presented with an Easter lily from her chil h dren. Luncheon Held— The first of a series of bridge luncheons given by the ladies of the country club was held Wed nesday at the Golden hotel. The comittee in charge included Mrs. W. H. Harty, Mrs. R. E. Ev3ns and Mrs. C. J. Gatz. Mrs. Ed ward M. Gallagher won high and Mrs. John Conard won the all cut prize. Dinner Honors College Students— Mr. and Mrs. Charles McKenna gave a dinner Monday in honor of three University of Nebraska students, Warren Burgess and Bud Cole, of Emmet, and Miss Elaine Parmenter, of McCook, who was a house guest of the Burgess family. Dichargee Honored— Dale Nissen, formerly of Page, who was recently discharged from the Army, was guest-of-hcn or at an Easter dinner party for 17, given by his sister, Mrs. Ray mond Eby and Mr. Eby. Mr. Nis sen served for 15 months in the United States. Miss Keiser Honored— A slumber party in honor of Miss Patti Keiser, of Rapid City, S. D., was given Sunday at the C. E. Stout residence by Miss Bar bara Birmingham and Miss Nan cy Froelich. There were nine guests. Mrs. Sherbahn Hostess Mrs. J. L. Sherbahn was host ess to the Wednesday afternoon bridge club. Mrs. C. E. Methodist Youths Use Mormons Topic— The Young Adult Fellowship of the Methodist church met Tues day for a regular meeting. Guests were members of the two families. Visit at Norfolk— Tom Enright spent Monday in Norfolk with his daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Tom I Semlak. Last Minute Meets— The Last Minute club met at the home of Mrs. H. W. Tomlin son Wednesday. Jo Ellyn Hoerle Bride at Chambers CHAMBERS — Rev. Leonard Dale, pastor of the Lutheran church, officiated Monday H the 10 a. m. wedding of Miss Jo Ellyn Hoerle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hoe le, and Richard Leh man, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W F. Lehman, of Chambers. The ceremony took place at the par sonage. The bride was dressed in a white brocaded marquisette w'ed ding gown with a fingertip veil. She wore a corsage of white gar H- oias Her only attendant was Mrs. Elwin Rubeck, of O’Neill who wore » gown of white lac5 and net with pink trimming and a corsage of pink and white car nations. The bride’s brother, Marvin Hoerle, was the bestman. He was dressed j,n a blue suit with a white carnation buttonnaire. The bridegroom was attired in a gray ^)in-st iped suit with a white ca’nation buttonnaire. A lunch was served at 1:30 p. m. to 22 people. A three-tiered wedding cake, with a miniatu e bride and bridegroom, was the centerpiece. LYNCH NEWS Cecil Zink went to Denver last Thursday to spend Easter with his son, Raymond, and family, and came home by way of Oma ha and spent the night with George Lee. Mrs. Guy Hull accompanied Mrs. Hugh Glaze to Rapid City, S. D., leaving Lynch at 6 a. m. Saturday. She spent Saturday night with her cousin, Mrs. John ny Ernst, and Easter Sunday with her uncles, D»fk Wilson and Jack Coys. Dr. Ira and Patsy Mulhair drove to Omaha Sunday and plans were made to bring Mrs. Ira to the Lynch hospital. George Lee and son, of Omaha, met Cecil Zink at the Spencer bus station Tuesday morning and he accompanied Mr. Lee to Butte on business. The public sale of Ross Ridge way, in northern Holt, was well attended in spite of the rainy weather and bad roads. The Seottville community club serv ed sandwiches, pie and coffee. Mrs. Ridgeway stayed with Mrs. toe Madura. The Ridgeways have purchased the Bennett Gil lespie property in O’Neill and ex pect to move there in the near future.
