home Friday afternoon to honor
Mrs. Ralph Cooke, formerly Ce
lesta deed, at a miscellaneous
shower.
A “radio” program, under the
direction of Phyllis Carpenter,
was presented, consisting of
songs and readings.
Those taking part were Mrs.
Art Walter, Violet Sanderson,
Mrs. Dean Stevens, and Mrs. C.
V. Robertson.
Ice cream, cake and coffee were
served by the WSCS.

liam Sorenson, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Soren Sorenson, of Page,
were united in marriage at 2
p.m. Friday at the Methodist
church in Clearwater. Rev. Sar
ah Ives performed the double
ring ceremony.
Their attendants were Miss
Ruth Holliday and Soren Soren
son, jx., brother of the bride
groom.
The bride wore a slate blue
dress with brown accessories. Her
attendant wore a light blue suit
with brown accessories. The
bridegroom and his attendant
both wore blue suits.
Mrs. Sorenson graduated from
the Ainsworth high school in
1945, and attended the Universi
ty of Nebraska college of agricul
ture at Lincoln for one year. For
the past eight months she has
been employed at the Montgom
ery store in O’Neill.
Mr. Sorenson graduated at
Page high school in 1942. He
was discharged May 10, 1946,
from the Navy after serving 30
months. For the past eight
months he has stayed at home
helping his father on the farm.
They will make their home in
Page.

The voters of the County the last
Primary Election having approved the
sale of the property hereinafter des
cribed, the County Board of Holt Coun
ty has ordered a public sale thereof to
be held on
Wednesday, Dec. 18th

at ten o’clock A.M. at the front door of
the Court House in O’Neill, Nebraska.
The property to be sold is described
as the South " Eighty-three and one
third (83 1-3) feet of Lots 13,14,15, and
16, in Block 10, of O’Neill, Holt County,
Nebraska.
This is the unimproved southeast
corner of the block on which the Court
House stands. This will make an ideal
residential location, two blocks from
the center of town and, one block to the
post office and the public school.
The property will be sold to the high
est bidder for cash subject to the ap
proval of the County Board. Sale will
remain open one hour.
