Miss Mary Carney left Wednes day for Sioux City to spend Thanksgiving with her sister, Mrs. Lyle Curtis. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hagensick had their daughters. Miss Helen and Miss Della, home for Thanks giving. Both are students at the University of Nebraska at Lin coln. Edward Campbell and James Merriman, students at Creighton university, spent Thanksgiving day with their respective fami lies. Peter Costello, of Cherokee, la., and Jack Shiader, of Iowa City, la., also Creighton students, accompanied them here. F. E. Parkins spent the week end at Good Samaritan hospital in Kearney, where his son, Rob ert, is a patient. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Cronin and daughters, Frances and Kathleen, of Grand Island, ar rived late Wednesday to spend Thanksgiving with relatives here. Gordon Hiatt, a student* at the University of Nebraska, arrived Wednesday to be with his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Hiatt, for Thanksgiving! Warren Burgess is spending the Thanksgiving recess from the University of Nebraska with his parents, Dr. imd Mrs. L. A. Bur gess. Miss Lou Birmingham, a stu dent at Barat college in Chicago, arrived here Wednesday to spend Thanksgiving with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Birmingham. Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Sauers de parted for California Thursday. They expect to be gone for a month. Mr. and Mrs. Sumner Downey departed for Bone-steel, S. D., Wednesday, to visit at the home of Mrs. James Rustemeyer, who is Mrs. Downey’s mother. Miss Donna Gallagher, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Gallagher, arrived Tuesday to spend the Thanksgiving holidays with her parents. She is a student at St. Mary’s academy here. John Brennan, son of Mrs. Francis Brennan, is spending Thanksgiving here. He arrived Tuesday from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where he is a student, Marvin Holsclaw arrived Tues day to spend Thanksgiving with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Holsclaw. He is a student at the University of Nebraska. Fred Halva, a student at the University of Nebraska, is spend ing Thanksgiving with his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Halva. His sister, Miss Margaret Halva, a nurse in Lincoln, also arrived Wednesday for the holidays. Gene McKenna, a student at the University of Nebraska, is spending the Thanksgiving holi days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. F. McKenna. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Riley had their son Forrest, who is a stu dent at the University of Ne braska, for the Thanksgiving hol idays.
