a General Election will be held
in the several voting precincts of

braska, on Tuesday, the fifth
day of Nevember, 1946, during
the hours designated by law, for
for the following purposes, to
wit:
1. For the Election of one
United States Senator.
2. For the election of one
member of Congress from the
Fourth Congressional District of
the State.
3. For the election of the fol
lowing officers to-wit:

7. To vote upon an amend
ment to Section 6, Article VII of
the Constitution of Nebraska, re
lating to free instruction in the
common schools so as to require
that the Legislature shall raise
revenue for the schools from
sources other than real property
tax, in a sum of not less than
forty dollars ($40.00) per pupil in
average daily attendance and to
provide for the distribution
thereof among the school
districts of the State.
8. To vote upon an amendment
to the Constitution of Nebraska
relating to and prohibiting denial
of employent to any person be
cause of membership or nonmem
bership in or resignation or ex
pulsion from a labor organiza
tion; prohibiting any contract to
exclude persons from employ
ment because of membership or
non-membership in a labor or
ganization; defining "labor or
ganization” as any organiation of
any kind, or any agency or em
ployee representation committee
or plan, which exists for the
purpose, in whole or in part, of
dealing with employers concern
ing grievances, labor disputes,
wages, rates of pay, hours of em
ployment or conditions of work;
providing that said amendment
be self-executing.
