SOCIETY Bride-Elect Feted at 2 Showers — M is s Constance Golden daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Golden, was guest-of-honor at a miscellaneous shower given Thursday by Mrs. Dale Kersen brock. Mrs. H. J. Birmingham and Mrs. W. J. Froelich entertained at a bride-to-be miscellaneous shower for Miss Golden at the Birmingham residence Monday. Daughter Honored on 6th Birthday — Miss Jeannine McElhaney cele brated her sixth birthday Thurs day at a luncheon given by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted McElhaney, at the Country club. Schaffer, entertained at a dessert bridge at her home on Tuesday evening in honor of Miss Margaret rlarva and Miss Eunice Schwisowbosh, nurses who are visiting here. The other guests were: Mrs. Joseph Grutsch, Miss Bonnie Harmon, Miss Marjorie Ralya, Miss LuVerne Schultz and Mrs. Carroll W. Stewart. Miss Har mon won high honor and Miss Halva was low. Up - and - At - It Club Guests of Witfelts — The members of the Up-and At-It- 4-H Club were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Widtfelcit Fri day evening. One of the 12 members absent. Among the eight guests were Joan Binkard, a meber of. the, ‘“’Neill Victory Bells.” Donna and Twila Uhaley gave a detailed account of their week at the state fair, andHelen Bow den demonstrated, how to sew on different types of buttons.. Marlez Bridge Club Meets The Martez Bridge Club met Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Ira Moss. Mrs. C. E. Stout and Mrs. William J. Froelich won Tuesday at the home of Mrs. high honors at their respective tables. Mrs. R. E Armbruster left for Norfolk Wednesday and will re turn Thursday with her sister, Mrs. Gene Asmus, and son, Chuckie, of Norfolk. Mr. Asmus will arrive for his family , Saturday. John M. There 24 guests present. Mrs. Ted Mc Elhaney won high honors. Mrs. G. W. Reising won second honors and Mrs. John Osen'oaugh re ceived low honors. Mrs. Hugh Ray won the all cut prize. Alpha Club Meets with Mrs. Moses — The Alpha club met with Mrs Halsey Moses on Setember 11th in its annual bazaar. It was a very successful meeting and the club was netted $21.93.
