Mullen, also sometimes known as
Nell McMullen, filed her petition

among other things that John F.
Sullivan, a resident, citizen and
inhabitant of Holt County, Ne
braska, departed this life on the
15th day of September, 1893, or
1894; that at the time of his death
he had made entry on Government
lands described as the Southwest
Quarter (SWVi) of Section Two
(2), in Township Twenty-nine
(29), North, Range Eleven (11),
West of the 6th P. M., in Holt
County, Nebraska, but had not
received Patent therefor; that fol
lowing his death Patent was is
sued to the “Heirs of John F. Sul
livan, Deceased”; that he left him
surviving as his sole and only
heir his father, Florence Sullivan;
that petitioner is now the owner
of said real estate above described;
that petitioner acquired title to
the above described real estate
by mesne conveyances from the
heir of John F. Sullivan, Deceas
ed; that the prayer of said petition
is that the Court may find and
determine the time of the death
of John F. Sullivan, Deceased;
that he died intestate a resident
and inhabitant of Holt County,
Nebraska; may find and deter
mine who are his heirs and fix
their degree of kinship; may find
and determine the right of descent
of the real property upon which
he had made entry but for
which he had not received Patent
at the time of his death, and for
which Patent was issued to the
“Heirs of John F. Sullivan, De
ceased”; that Florence Sullivan,
the father of said deceased, was
and is his sole and only heir at
law and that said real estate de
scended to him; that there are no
debts against said estate; that the
claims of all creditors are barred;
that there is no inheritance tax,
state or federal, due from this
said estate or any of the heirs
thereof; that further adminis
tration of this said estate may be
dispensed with, and for such
other relief as may be just and
equitable.
That said matter is set for hear
ing before the County Court in
the County Court Room in the
City of O’Neill, Holt County, Ne
braska, on the 14th day of Feb
ruary, A. D., 1946. at the hour of
ten o’clock A, M„ and that if
you fail to appear at said time

sories with a corsage of yelliw
daffodils. The groom and his at

4:00 o’clock wedding dinner was

bride’s p® rents in Page. Mrs.
Smith was assisted in serving the
dinner by her daughter, Mrs. Dan
Snyder of Orchard. Guests at
the dinner were the immediate
families of the bride and tre
groom’s father and Mrs. Maude
Boies. The young couple left
Sunday for Hastings, Omaha and
Sioux City on a two week trip.

ciating. Their attendants were

Clearwater, sister and brother’in
law of the bride.
The bridp was attired in a pea
cock blue two piece dress with
black accessories. She wore a
string of pearls, a gift of the
groom. Her attendant wore a
blue two piece suit with black
accessories.
The groom and his attendant
wore dark suits. After the cere
mony they returned to the home
of the bride's mother where they
were servel a wedding dinner.
Guests were members of the im
metiate families. After a short
trip they will make their home on
a farm near Meadow Grove.

Funtral services for Frand A.
Merryman, who died January 31,
at his home in Page, after a ling
ering ilness, were held Sunlay
morning at his home with Rev
R. L. Gowan in aharge. Music
was furnished by Mtrs. R. L. Gow
an, Mrs. Robert Strong and Har
old Blaine. Pallbearers were,
Roy Haynes, Fred Wood, Will
Neubauer, Harry Plarks, Nevan
Ickes and Hugh Holliday. Burial
was in the Page cemetery.
Frand A. Merryman was born
at Brunswick, Maine, March 8,
1864. In 1879 he moved with his
parents to Iowa, where they lived
until his ather's death In 1910
Mr. Merryman and his sister.
Grace, came to Holt county and
settled on a farm two miles east
of Page where they resided until
they moved to their home in Page.
He is survivel by two sisters. Miss
Grace Merryman, who had kept
house for him for forty years,
and Mrs. Bertha Harsh two nep
hews and one niece of Eagle
Rock, California.
Mr. Merryman was very active
until eleven months ago when he
fell and fractured his hip. Since
that time he has been confined
to his bed. About three weeks
ago he suffered a heart attack,
from which he neve recovered.
