Mr. and Mrs. Rex Beckwith were Thanksgiving dinner guests at the Vern Beckwith home in O’Neill. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Patterson motored to Albion on Friday to visit Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Casper.! On returning home they visited friends in Cedar Rapids and Spalding. Pfc. Lloyd Johnson arrived home Thursday night with an honorable discharge. He had been in service almost two years, eleven months of that time was spent in the ETO. He wears three battle stars. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fox and family, Mr. and Mrs. Leon.rd Fox and daughter, and Mr. and Mrs. Box Fox and son Melvin Luben Spent Thanksgiving at Mil ler visiting Grandma Fox and other relatives. Guests at the Glen Burge home Thanksgiving were: Mrs. Bessie Burge, son Harold and daughter, June, Mr. and Mrs. K. C. Janes and famly of Clearwater; Mr. and Mrs.. Carl Miller and family, Mr. Miller’s mother and Jay MeBay. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fox took Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Fox and daughter to Milford, where Leon ard will attend welding school, under the GI. plan. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Beckwith and daughter, Leona Fern, at tended Thanksgiving family din ner at the Ralph Young, Sr. home in honor of Sgt. Ralph Young who is home on a short furlough. This was his first Thanksgiving with his folks in six years. Those who attended the Thanksgiving family dinner at the William Grothe home were: Mr. and Mrs. Lou Prange and family of Atkinson; Mr. and Mrs. Bert Henning and son Albert, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Fari* and son, Gene of O’Neill; Mrs. Eva Johnson and children, Mr. and Mrs. Herman j Grothe and chilldren. A party was held at the John son home Saturday night in honor of Lloyd who was recently discharged from the army. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. William Grothe, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Wm. PROJEST LEADERS MEET A training meeting for Project Club leaders was held Friday, November 23, at the Legion hall. Miss Della Lewis, home demon stration agent, bad charge of the meeting and presented the lesson “Clothing Pointers for 1946." j The leaders 'krere told what to expect in materials and styles for 1946. New materials will be on tht market and tiis expected that^ many more of the needed types and fewer high-cost fancy types. A covered dish luncheon was served at noon. Following the lesson in the afternon, gifts were exchanged and coffee and cookies served. Miss Lewis, who has been home demonstration agent in j Holt county for the past three years, is leaving after the first of the year to take a position in Maryland. Those who have worked with her in project and | t-H work will miss her, but wish her success in her new field. Luetta Lenz returned to her work in Omaha Friday, after spending Thanksgiving with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.1 L. O.Lenz. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Spath and girls and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Watt, of Upton, Wyoming, were Thanksgiving day guests at the George Fullerton home. Mrs, Watt is a sister of Mr. Fullerton. Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Sageser and Mr. and Mrs. Vern Sageser drove to Manhattan, Kansas, Wednes day to spend Thanksgiving with Mr. and Mrs. Bower Sageser land Floyd Sageser. They returned home Monday evening.
